Are you going to give it any textures to make it more life-like? I have to say I like the overall look of it but am interested to see what more can be done with it...
Who are you? My art thread.

ya, if I get more time I'll probably add skin textures and paint it, and of course add some eyes. Did this one to test out my new 9X12 intuous 3 that I've been waiting for since christmas

Did this awhile back now. Was planning to make a better version of this, but just haven't made the time to do it (been working on another animated project) - so I decide to show this version now for the time being. Hopefully I'll get around to fixing it up soon.
It's entitled "Breathe"

A few years ago I tried to make something with Blender 3D, but it didn't work out well... Blender is just too damn hard!

very nice... The facial anatomy is slightly misproportioned, but you could probably pass that off as biodiversity variance... But the anatomy of the chest is pretty skewed. The pectorals are too narrow, and the nipples are far too high and too close together...
But still, for a sphere-deform-head, it's actually very good. It's a hell of a lot better than all the heads I managed to make using that method...
Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here.... Oh, and check out my artwork: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic /802110

Sorry to double-post, here, but I just remembered that I had a bit of recent CGI to show off....
Any fans of Warhammer 40,000 in here? This is basically a screenshot from a piece of rendered animation that I did a few weeks ago. It's only about twenty seconds long, but the animation can be viewed here.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6mNt9-pR Eo

Yeah, unfortunately Youtube seems to darken the picture somewhat... You can't really see it as well as you can in the full-res version.... But I don't know of any video-hosts that accept high-resolution videos....

Ok, so I recently got around to putting together what I think is a better version of this 3D portrait.
Still entitled - "Breathe"

Wow! This is pretty interesting stuff guys, I especially liked that ship Ynek. Have you got the full version? And Zandiod, although there isn't much difference between the unfinished and finished versions of breathe its still very good, maybe you could put a background in and make the person look more like thier breathing - head slightly raised, lips closed, chest billowing out... That would be great!

Here is my WIP Windmill (most recent model). I have posted it in 3DK and here is the link to it (sorry, but my pictures are at least 640x480, so obviously I can't attach it here. If the forum doesn't allow 'linking', please accept my apologize): Click Here to the post in 3DK that contains my renders
Thanks and have a nice day :)

Nice simple pic keepwalking, reminds me of the Windows Live blue-green icon.
Current 3D thing I'm working on. I've been really inspired by Olivier Ponsonnet's (aka Reiv) 3D portrait work and have been itching to try and produce something with results similar to his.
Check out some of his work here - http://reiv.cgsociety.org/gallery

thats pretty nuts, you definitely know your anatomy if you are doing this from scratch.
I would love to see what you can do with actual clay.

Just a little update of the 3D model that I've been currently working on. Pay no attention to the skin, it's very incomplete, and I haven't made the textures for it yet. The brows and lashes need some more tweeking, aswell as the lighting, so i'll get on to that...

this head is a really great improvement from your previous stuff, very nice eyes too. Only thing I saw that jumped out as being wrong was the profile view from your previous post. The head was too wide from that view, in all heads (for the most part) the distance from the bottom of the chin to the forehead is the same as the distance from the brow to the back of the head. Are you going to paint it too?

cheers J-D-S, and yeah, i've taken care of that head problem.
Just another quicky of what I've been doing. I've started work on the skin textures, but not finished yet, so still excuse the poorness. Was playing around with the lighting and rendering this arvo and thought I'd share one of the results. :D
