I'm saying probably the most controversial thing possible in America, or anywhere today. George Bush is not stupid. He is most of higher intelligence then the greater population of America.
Hes the president for Christ sake. You need some sort of intelligence to win a presidential election and to run a country the size of America. He might make some stupid decisions, but he himself surely is not stupid.
Discuss this issue.

The President doesn't even run most of the country. People forget that the laws and decisions come from Congress and the Senate and all those other places. The President can veto (that's vote no for retards) anything they try to pass, so most of the stuff that gets passed has his approval. He doesn't do everything and most people forget that.
I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

He's definitely not an idiot. I just don't agree with some of his decisions (well mostly the war)

It's all in the eye of the beholder. And also, as the topic starter said, he's not a retard, as people make him out to be.

Stem cell research isn't a bad thing depending on your opinions, so that shouldn't condemn his intelligence. Abortion is the same damn thing, so see previous. Church and state are really separate now, considering that a lot of states don't say "Under God" any more cause someone bitched about it. And as far as fascism goes, you aren't oppressed by the government are you? No, so shut the fuck up and go watch cartoons until you're smart enough to have a real opinion.

It's not that unnusual that smart people get succesfull after playing dumb. Look at Jessica Simpson for example. Or Adam Sandler.
Bush's stupid image has been created intentionally, by Dubya himself.

The Iraq war isn't Bush's only bad decision. Don't forget about the whole "No Child Left Behind". In theory it should work, but it hasn't and I don't see it working ever, simply because nobody really knows what is being done to have "no child left behind." There is also his veto of the stem cell research. Stem cell research is controversial but most of those eggs are just going to be thrown away, so why not put them to good use. I am sure there are more, but I can't think of anymore at the moment.
Also, being stupid doesn't necessarily mean you don't know anything, it can also mean that you constantly make stupid choices. His speeches are also generally full of stupidity, basically when he says something wrong, which is a lot.

Sounds more political than anyhthing else.
In any event, Bush definetly not the best president, but at least he is not the worse.

Well no it's not.
But stopping medical research that would, undoubtedly, saves lives because you believe small clusters of unconscious cells have a soul is obscene. There's no sane justification for it.

I meant as far as opinions are concerned

I agree with that. It's not like your body is going to suffer without those cells.

Oh, you're 100% right. It's the media and public ignorance in general that gets him the bad press. People need a scapegoat and a full guy, and Bush is quirky enough to be the perfect target.

I assume you mean a scapegoat for the way the country is being ran, or government policies, yes?
If so, laying a large proportion of the blame on the leader of the government implementing these policies isn't too unreasonable is it?

Look dude, i dont know you, and id say your either pretty patriotic about your country......................or your really retarted. George Bush is an idiot. he shouldn't of ran for president in the first place, but he did because daddy wanted to see his little boy in the white house. i think that america will intensly change once Bush has left the white house

Also, you dont need any intelligence to win the presidency.
What you do need is a good campaign team that your soul can buy!!
