Good thing about Photoshop is you can be messy.

Got my fuzzy brush opacity set to 67% for shading.

I sampled colors from the stock picture.

Starting to shape up

moving on to hair

Got lazy with the hair but.. whatever, that's about all I'm going to do with it.

Shape of the head isn't an exact match with the stock, but I wanted and exact match I might have just traced it, and not added the extra hair.

The lot of them are characters I made up for this little 2D action RPG I'm was making in Multimedia Fusion. I might do something in Flash now though :O. So, they all kind of fit into the same 'world' and have similar appearance, clothing and otherwise. Especially the pink haired girl I named 'Charity' on page 4, that's about 30% of what shes wearing in the game.. hmm I guess I'll just sketch it up for ya.

Yeah.. I was rushing at that point. I wanted to finish it that same night.. perhaps I'll come back to it.

On the other hand, the lips look much more detailed than the rest of the face, so maybe blending them a tad and shading around them on the face may help them fit into the pic a little better.

Even if you get lazy with clothes, it gives you your own style, and keeps you from trying to add too much detail :D

Everything in the picture goes together nicely and is in proper proportions(except the waist) but she looks a tad stiff. Keep up the good work!

I use a tablet for fine lines like the hair and eyes. The rest is mouse.
