ATI is actually a good company
Search AMD on Google and, in terms of stocks, you will see otherwise (AMD owns ATI). Their stock's continued fall in price is due to them acquiring ATI as well as their increase competition with Intel. AMD recently lost business to Sun Microsystems, one of their "loyal" customers. Also, reference the nVida stock, as that and Intel have been doing good as of late.
Plus I never liked their graphics cards. Like you say in the next part, they're a bit more expensive, and nVidia's look cooler with the pretty colors =D
i just happen to like nvidia better because its a bit cheaper and they use GPU's wich take some of the load off of the CPU. Although my 2.7ghz could handle it.
Very true ^_^
On my HP Pavilion a1540n (
specs ) I have a nVida GeForce 6600 overclocked 512 MB graphics card. It's decent: lets me play any game, any graphics settings. Spent about $200 on it last August on it, was well worth it. I never want one of those lame RAM-hogging integrated graphics cards to mess up my gaming experiance.
