Very close. Junior High/Middle is usually 12-14, and high school is 14-18. Although, we actually go more by grades than age.

Ex.
Elementary: Grades K(kindergarten)-5 or 6
Junior high/Middle: 6 or 7-8 or 9
High School: 9 or 10-12.

Oh yeah, forgot preschool, which is before kindergarten. preschoolers are usually 3 or 4 years old. I think. Not sure the minimum age limit.

We have Year Groups instead of grades.
Primary - Reception (First year at school) - Year 6
Secondary - Year 7 - Year 11
Sixth Form (can be taken at Secondary Schools or at College) AS Level (Year 12) & A Level (Year 13)

Degrees can also be taken at College & University.

my school has about 3,000-4,500 kids in it. and if that isnt enough they give out lables to anyone who doesnt act or dress like them. i have been called emo(i am not quiet and i dont cut), i have been called a skater(and i cant skate), i have been called goth(but i dont love vampires and/or drink blood), i have been called a punk(when i listen to grindcore and heavy metal) and i have been called a freak or idiot because i've been suspended 8 times. i dont think that any of these lables describe me in one word. but then there are ghettos in my school, preps and jews. that's basiclly it. but my teachers also lable the kids as if it's not enough with 3,000-4,500 kids labeling you. i think lableing is bull. simply put.

I'm at a fairly small school (betweenm 400-500 students), but there's a good amount of labels.

There's:
Emos.
Bisexual emos.
Preps.
Jocks.
Nerds.
And just normal kids.

I guess I'm just one of those normal kids, but I hang around with some nerds and emos, and I'm cool with a lot of people from other "cliques".

I dont know what i am. Im like a hybrid.
Im popular in my class and most people (except the really dorky ones) like me, i have friends and im the funny guy i guess.
The thing is, (not wanting to sound big headed) im pretty smart to. I get good test results and have good parents evening meetings.

I'm just glad my school isn't like most of you guys situation. I would honestly go insane if I had to try and belong to a group of friends. Thank god I have friends who actually are my friends and not some people I hang out because they look like me.

How can your school bullys be chav's? the skeets in my school if they got in a fight with a chav they would be killed. Plus my school isent like that, we are split up in crews of diffrent group of friends, theres no Jocks, Chav's, Skeets(Maybe), loser, nerds were not like the game bully.

But the friends we hang out with are like everyone except for the kids who think there really popular (AKA sheep) so I do pretty good in my school.

My lable varies. People like to say I'm goth, which I find laughable. Mostly I am "that sort of black looking girl who wears eyeliner and black clothes."
