Washington state to kill Sea Lions

Over here in the corner of the US, we are thinking of killing at least 80 Sea Lions to keep the Salmon population at a normal level.

I don't like the sound of this. Sea Lions are cool. So what if they eat some Salmon, it's how life goes.

The reason we are going straight to the guns is because we've tried to use firecrackers, sirens, rubber bullets, underwater speakers, the whole nine yards. It just isn't working.

well we fish for the salmon anyway, I would say we just cook up the sea lions and serve them with the salmon.

well sorry man that was unnecessary and just to clarify mammals have hair, mammary glands, and give live birth ok I know that. I just didn't use those three things to compare to fish ok......wow people today can be mean and god don't like ugly ok

Um, no that's not how life goes. The Sea Lions are having too much of an impact on the Salmon and the Salmon are very important to the ecosystem here. Therefore killing Sea Lions to ensure the survival of the Salmon is seen as necessary and entirely proper.

If you really live in Washington, don't you remember learning about how important the Marine life is to the Pacific Northwest? Its not only important to the wild life as a whole, but it's a major part of our economy and our lifestyle. Seattlites eat ALOT of fish especially, and alot of Seattlites depend on the Salmon industry for their jobs and livelihood.

Just because Sea Lions are cute and cuddly compared to the ugly Salmon doesn't mean we should let them destroy them damage the ecosystem. And it's not like anyone is trying to kill all the Sea Lions off, they are just trying to manage their numbers to keep an equilibrium.

You could have simply phrased it 'So basically they want to kill a animal to save another animal?'. It would have made sense and got the same message I believe you were trying to convey out to the reader.
