Hey NGers, after being away for a while and not using flash at all, ive decided to start a new project.....well this is probably my first project, but for the first time im actually going to spend a decent amount of time on a picture. So im going to show you the work in progress on my way through this drawing, now some people can come up with amazing peices of work in a few hours.....i cant so it will take a while to finish thats why i wanted to do a work in progress so i can have some constructive criticism to make this the best i can get it.

Anyway, my project is to redraw one of my favourite pictures that i have done, and simply colour it. The reason i found it a challenge is because its not a very simple drawing which is what im used to doing on flash it has quite detailed parts of the drawing. The guy who first drew this is called elorhir by the way.

well here is the line drawing, its not tidy but ill be tidying it up along the way.

That was just a basic outline so i know what im doing. Next all i simply did was fill colour the drawing and didnt tidy up the line, because i wanted to work out what colours to use for the armor, i chose silver/grey and gold-ish....now here is where you lot come in, i would like anybody to come up with a cool colour scheme for the armor....because i always get stuck on this and whenever i post pictures, it always seems to be bad colour choice. So does anybody have any ideas......if you can please post the colour number it would help a lot :D

not sure if it was intended for the style or not but the head is too small for the body

i think the body is nice....quite a funky style....but the head doesnt go with it

It's good and all, but I see you posting a hand-drawn image of that all the time. Please make something new.

Besides, the head is a little too small.

But it's good, though. You just need to make other pictures.

I like it! But as everyone has said, the head is too small, and the eyes are on the OUTSIDE of the hair, lol. Good job though.

bl00dredknife i know you may have seen it but i saw it as a challenge and i havent whored the picture as much as some other people have whored theres, also the size of the head i know is wrong i dont need to study human anatomy i can get the proportions right its just when the head is the right size.....i dont like it, which is bad! lol the eyes are on the outside of the head, it is done like that in some manga's or anime. The arms are mighty long but the full picture of this looks better proportioned, and last of all thanks for the constructive criticism, and for liking the colour scheme. I will carry on with the drawing! :D

dont call me snobby because i just didnt like how that proportion looked i know its right but i chose not to do it like that i have changed the size of the head any bigger doesnt look right, bird man dont give me the we used to be friends shit, we were never friends, and mindchamber i dont expect an "assrub" dont be so cocky paleez i made a decision i dont just expect a WELL DONE because i know how bad it looks at the moment, thats why im after the constructive criticism

This looks a tad better but ill keep going because i got used to the small head as its got bigger it looks strange......it'll grow on me and then it will look small again til eventually its right, hopefully i wont go bobbleheadin the picture. I changed a few things too.

It looks alright - but his arms are about as long as his whole body should be.
Make the head the right size - just do it and show us.

Im back after finishing exams, i finished this a long time ago, and its not proportioned properly i know, sorry for the lil bitch fits about your correcting me....well anyway heres what i did....hope some of you like it

If you think it's not proportioned right, just redraw it. Instead of adding little bits of shading. :)
