With recent tensions flaring up in china among the Hans and the Uighurs this should only serve as a reminder that whatever ethnicity you are, we should all treat each other as family because of our asian heritage!

It seems like as a whole, we might fight each other, but we are kinda like family(Asians in general). Good luck in the future. I still don't know what will happen to my family, lets see what happens.

Well, I am not sure if any Asian should run for President right now, unless they want to get attacked by all kinds of racists and GOPers that are racist. It would be good to have an Asian American president, but the problem is that the birthers/racists fucks that can't accept defeat will ask the president that is Asian to show his/her birth certificate, a crazy GOPer that maybe did drugs or dodged the draft will say that he/she hopes the president will fail, racist senators trying to block EVERY bill the Asian president will support or purpose, will claim that the president is trying to sell the country to China/another Asian country, and of course, will attack the President from day one, calling him/her a communist, socialist, marxist, terrorist, arab, *racist name for asian country*, island hopper, retarded, basically every negative fucking thing for Asians and then some more.

True, I wonder, are we even allowed to be proud to be Asian, or is that only reserved for other races, and countries, and of course Americans? In most/all racist bigot's eyes, no.

Im chinese myself. Culture and history stretch back thousand of years..yes. 'zhong guo wen hua wu qian nian' (china's 5000 year old history) , mostly was about chinese fighting among each other. Nothing much to be proud about but still we are chinese and, respect to our ancestors.

Well, I am a Filipino but we cherished a lot from the Chinese. Our language, Filipino, has some Chinese words that is applicable to our language, that is mostly Spanish, came from the Spaniards. Our history is way more past than the Chinese though.

You think the US or Canada needs an Asian American/Canadian President? Right now, I think that the Asian American President should wait until lets say, 2016 or 2024, because most people are still bigots and racists that can't accept a non-white President.

I got a question, why is it that the U.S. Government always has this happening:

Caucasian
Hispanic
African American
American Indian
Asian/Pacific Islander(WHAT THE FUCK)?

Really, they allow Natives/Alaskan/Hawaiian natives be American Indian, but Oceanians has to be part of Asian in what race you are. Why the hell can't the government make a new one that shows Pacific Islander as a separate choice(Its basically Oceania/Australia/New Zealand)? Then again, Congress won't do it, and the white people won't want that to happen because they think "asians are inferior." It seems like the Asian Americans are the new scapegoat, and new target now. Asians was the only race that was banned from entering the United States after the Civil War(Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, Immigration Act of 1924/Asian Exclusion Act, Japanese Internment act of 1944). I checked some discrimination of Asians, it was horrible, here is one of them.

A Chinese person was attacked by 2 white people, called racist names, and said that his race was responsible for the white people losing their jobs. They killed him, and they got off with some prohibition time and a 3,700 dollar fine because they got a reduced sentence(manslaughter/claimed that they were not a threat to society). After one of them got convicted and was almost sent to Prison(the murderer of the Chinese person), the trial moved and the Jury basically acquitted them of ALL FUCKING CHARGES. A civil suit was issued to one of them that the murderer had to pay the victim's mother money, but he stopped. They shown no regret, or remorse. She was so sick of the racism here, that she went back to China.

Another one: An Indian gets attacked by a couple, gets called hateful names. So, its a hate crime right? Well, according to a certain judge, you are WRONG. They got out free with no crimes or punishment(I think). If it was a black guy, or hispanic/latino, the judge would maybe be on their ass and punish them.

The site that showed these 2 hateful stories that were against Asians and asked why is this happening: The story about the 2 white bastards killing the Chinese American and getting away with it , The Indian(India) guy being beaten up by 2 people and was called racist slurs.

I also found out about the Ft. Hood shootings, I kinda consider Muslims/the Middle East being part of Asia(therefore, Asians), and the racism I found on the blogs, was despicable. They wanted all Muslims to never serve in the US army(what the hell indeed). I also saw that the Vietnamese American that voted for the Health Care bill in the House of Representatives, well, GOP got pissed, I think I saw some racist comments in some blogs. God, what has happened to America, this is why a whole lot of countries hate us now, they see us mostly as racists.

Well, I saw some good news, the MVP of the World Series is the same guy who got attacked by his teammate because he was Japanese(Forgot his name, but I think his nickname was Godzilla). Its good to see some good news about Asian Americans, especially one that had the FBI investigating death threats that were directed towards him(yes, that actually happened).

God, I hope racism against Asians end soon, then again, it will end when the GOP and DNC stop fighting each other, and the GOP racists go away. Sad to see that Asians are still seen as inferior, even though it is already 2009(almost 2010).

this hostile bigotry and discrimination in the GOP goes way back its a policy of hate that has resonated with their fathers, and their fathers fathers.People are hopefully realising this and could explain why the GOP is stagnant.They need to get with the times.

SouthAsian, I agree with you(again). Still is Pacific Islander basically the Hawaiian islands and Oceania/Australia/NZ? Why don't they separate those 2 ethnicity's and have it on one ethnicity: Asian, and on another choice of ethnicity, Pacific Islander? Then again, like you said, the people of America think that the Asian people are inferior.
