Think about it, we Asians are almost being treated like second class citizens, there are a few Asian American politicians(including one in the current Presidential administration).

It is kinda a shame that one of the most successful minority role model groups in the U.S is being treated like shit in a way. Then again, if an African American became president, who is stopping an Asian American from being president(unless they are North Korean, from Middle East, or from China). It's absolutely despicable how these Asian men and women were treated on the basis of an outdated biased, arrogant view by the whites on how they perceived other human beings.

These Acts that forbade immigration by non whites, seems to have had a rippling effect, and allowed the flourishment of continued anti white resentment for quite some time.

That is why Asians aren't fully able to express themselves because their presence was crippled at an early stage in their arrival to America.

Well, I guess sooner or later, they will realize that the Asian Americans are good citizens, and helpful, and not think they are the stereotypes. I have volunteered at the homeless shelter, me being the Goody two shoes, straight arrow Chinese youth that I am. (society's perceptions). Anyways, for the 10 years I've been there. I have not seen one Asian! Indians, Somalis are there because they're new to the city and getting reestablished and soon leave.

The majority of the people at the seed are Elderly Caucasians, and not just the rednecks. They've been there for as long as anyone can remember. Now that the Seed has a new warehouse sized facility out in the factory district, where the homeless can just walk to work. They still there and growing.

What I find odd, is why the perception that Asians are a bunch of charity boat people. When the Asians I've seen are the huge gaggles of students at colleges. My dad came to Canada penniless, and went to school.

I'm penniless, and have only work ethic to further my career and what not. I don't drink do drugs or any vices, as I'm penniless as I mentioned, and doing these things really hurts my body. (I'm a wimp I know). but I've managed to cultivate my playstation self (back in the early 90s), into a efficient. Machine of work. (namely because I want to join the Canadian army. Young Teenagers are quickly given a place to stay ie a group home... So they don't end up prostituting themselves to White rich pedophiles! (Alberta is home to the Internationally reknowned "Protection of Children involved in Prostitution act, or Pe Chip).

By my age, young Asians live in suburbia on their own. My dad was pretty young for a Yuppie, as an engineer, have a university degree and well educated and a productive force in the economy.
