Trace Bitmap Settings

I had a search through previous topics, but none seemed to deal with this:

Which setings would you recommend for an optimum balance of performance and faithfullness to the original bitmap?

well it depends on the image, but i would guess that the best settings are the default ones.

That really does depend on computer, but some good settings that I'm sure most computers these days can handle (and is not too crappy) are:
Color Threshold: 50
Minimum Area: 50
Curve Fit: Tight
Corner Threshold: Normal
But in the end you'll just have to experiment some. So just play around with settings and whatnot.
