Oh Jaysus. I'm turning into one of them.
That's quite possibly the WORST time to purchase a subscription for an online game mate, summer is the time to go out and chill with mates on the beach.
I'm kind of a shut-in in, to be honest. I go out with my friends maybe twice a month, if even that.
And get pissed ofc.

Also, my girlfriend's in Scotland for the rest of July, so I need something else to invest time in that has a negative effort : payoff ratio.

Does Aliens vs Predator have an active online community?
I was thinking about buying the game, but was wondering if anybody actually used the online for it.

I recently aced The Collector in LBP, trying to crack down on all prize bubbles and acing all levels. My reward was Yellow Head, AKA Sackboy MK.I.
He's cool, but I prefer my googly eyed glasses-wearing space chicken Santa costume.
Also, I just realised I wasted my 6,600th post on a whimsical tale on Bethesda, Oblivion and Fallout 3.
Somebody hold me, I feel ashamed.

I got bored and decided to pick up Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard and Alone in the Dark for cheap. I played through the majority of the Matt Hazard and decided I had had enough torture. The game is just not fun and has a number of technical issues.
Now I'm about halfway through Alone in the Dark, and I have to say, I think it's a drastically underrated game. The gameplay has a lot of variety, and while no single part measures up to the best in each particular category, the combination of all of them is pretty great. It reminds me most of Arkham Asylum; Alone in the Dark is certainly not as good, but it has so many good ideas that I'm enjoying playing through it.

Whenever someone mentions WoW the only things that pops into my head is Leeroy Jenkins. New issue of OPM came this morning, I'm itching to get GT5 now.

Anyone want to play some Rock Band 2 at some point?
I've been on 88% trophies forever, and could probably get the platinum if I could get the few you need 2+ people to get (1,000,000 points, 1 minute of overdrive, 8x multiplier etc.)
Plus it's more fun on multiplayer, anyway.

I'd be up for that. I can sing and play bass on expert; guitar as well on the easy and medium songs.

I do guitar and bass on expert, bar one or two songs on guitar (Green Grass and High Tides and Satch Boogie are the only two that come to mind, but there might be more), drums on medium on every song, and hard on easy ones (like, 2/5 difficulty and under), and I can scrape through with 3 stars on most songs if I'm singing on easy. Still fail sometimes.
So yeah, I'm up for anything but singing.

So Spain won, good that they delivered. Typically the Dutch went mad and threw it away. I'm getting bored of fighting Ken and Ryu all the time on SSF4. Good players are few and far between.

So I beat Operation Flashpoint. Overall a solid game, but nothing spectacular. What really drags it down is the AI, both friendly and enemy. But other than that, it does a good job of making you feel like you're in middle of a war. Oh, and it allows for awesome moments, like when I shot a guy with a rocket launcher (which made him disappear), my character said in the most nonchalant way "Rifleman is eliminated".
For $26, it was well worth it.

I'm down for that. I'm about 50/50 with expert guitar, and almost always expert bass. I can play medium drums for every song, and hard drums for the easy/medium songs. And I can pull off singing on easy, and maybe medium.

It's a shame as I mained Ibuki but got sick of the fact that she is useless once she is knocked down and is getting rushed down.
So now all I play is Ryu and Ken. I even try Hakan once in a while for lulz and still win.

So how does PSN+ games that expire work, anyway?
Since, you know, they work offline, so it can't be verifying that you're a subscriber when they launch or anything.
Just stop you redownloading them until you sign up again?

Get BlazBlue Continuum Shift when it comes out. I'll be there along with a bunch of other friends of mine and we're all very well distanced from the annoying top 3 character scrub part of the community. We have headsets and cookies~! <3

Eh I'm kind of that way too. I'll take walks outside a lot because I love doing that, but most of my activity with friends happens late in the week and due to a recent *girlfriend get*, I usually go out every Saturday or Sunday now.

That's a really good question that I don't know the answer to. I'm thinking the games are probably aware of when your subscription started and it will ask for you to authenticate your subscription by logging in every month/year depending on your subscription plan. That's my guess anyway, since they made it sound like the games would stop working once the subscription is gone.

Good game there, Jerk. Can't believe we missed the five star on the last track, only one we didn't get.
Must need a full band to get the 1,000,000 points, didn't come close with only 3. Maybe on a long track like Jesus of Suburbia (you can get 400,000+ by yourself, it's a trophy in Green Day, I scored like 412,000) it would be possible.

I got one PS3 game for my 20th birthday which is Batman: Arkham Asylum. I shall be playing this game sometime tonight! I know I'll enjoy this game considering what I saw in the demo.

Awesome game. One of my favourites this gen.

My iCarly voice was rusty. But yeah, we were pretty solid.

Well, we got over 800,000 with Living on a Prayer, but that was with a 100%, 99%, and 98%, so we're not going to get much better there. According to Gamefaqs, Green Grass & High Tides works even when everyone is on hard instead of expert, and there are a bunch of other songs that would work too. We need a pretty decent drummer though.

I might be able to play for you guys. I'd have to practice Green Grass on hard before I jump in, but I might be able to be kind of helpful. Just give me a time and I'll be there.

Well this pisses me off. At last, it finally happened. My PS3 just got the YLOD and I was hoping that it would never happen, but here I am. I'm quite amazed how long it lasted, but still this sucks... T_T
I have it on a cooldown for a bit and I'm gonna check to see if it's good to go after a while. If it is, then I gotta be verrrrry careful now. If not, then fml, I gotta send it back in and get it refurbished. I hope to god that my box didn't get trashed and it still has the manuals and stuff in it.

Got Ferrari Challenge for £8. Played for about 10 minutes and got bored, too real for me. Don't know why I bothered as there's a shitload of games I havn't finished.
The Eurogamer Expo is on in October in London. £8 a head isn't bad at all and there's the chance to try out Killzone 3 and GT5, plus others. You can get tickets from the site if interested.
Hit 4K BP with Akuma, think I'll stay there because I can't be arsed playing scrubs no more. Also been using Abel and Hakan (for lulz). One of the comps for a 3DTV on the PS site ends soon. I'll have a coronary if I win.

Ahhh unlucky mate :|
Mine's off being repaired for the third time, should have it back tommorrow, though I'm getting an external HDD to back it up onto, then saving up for a PS3 slim.
I'm proper gutted because I play PS2 games alot too, so I'm really fucking hoping I can transfer my 70 hour FFX save to a PS2 memory card via that adapter thingy, otherwise I lose that and a bunch of other RPG saves, gah.
For now though I'm starting a new save on FFXII, fucking great game, and I already have a 7 hour-ish Okami save on the memory card, so I'm set for summer gaming :D

Same here, I play PS2 games a lot. I'm worried the most by far about my PS2 game saves right now. I can restart plenty of my stuff in my PS3 games and such but I'm gonna be pissed if I can't at least save my PS2 stuff first. Demon's Souls is about the only PS3 save that I care for and it's doomed anyways because it can't be copied or anything which really pisses me off. =_=
