I probably would have bought Plus if I was going to be home regularly in the next year simply for the store discounts. The free games don't really interest me because I probably would have already bought them and the fact that they are tied to my subscription is annoying.

Yeah. They need to add an option where you can pay a reduced price to keep any of the free games permanently even if you unsubscribe.

I might get plus. Do we get any other features than the game trials and free PSN tames. How about cross game chatting?

3.40 is here today, and there's neat features with it. Also, new Square and Shopping Mall on Home are awesome, they look so different now. And I'm pissed the E3 space has closed as I forgot to go back and get the other rewards. There was a freaking Dual Shock table and a drum kit :(

Where the fuck do I edit my Plus settings?

You know, the automatic updates and whatnot. Can't find it anywhere.

So I picked up Flashpoint the other day. Good thing I waited - the case got a bit torn and they knocked the price down to $26. It's alright. The graphics are decent, the gameplay is solid, but the AI is horrible. For example, I'm currently on the 4th (?) mission, the one where you have to rescue the helicopter pilots. Well, after you save them, you have to escape a small village that has a swarm of Chinamen coming to attack it. You have 2 options; take refuge in a building and take down the Chinese, or run to the extraction point, spraying bullets behind you. The only problem is, my team is too stupid to do either of these. They prefer to stand in the open and get cut down, instead of getting into a building. And when I tell them to move/follow me, the slowly back up and stop every few steps to shoot at the enemy. I have a few strategies to possibly get around that, but I shouldn't have to compensate for my team's retardation.

I remembered that I didn't have my music on my laptop and PCs on my PS3 so I figured it would take too long to do that and the amount of space would be massive.

So I decided to set up a media center. I failed epically at first but just did a simple thing.

I now have all my music streamed to my PS3 wirelessly. Fuck yeah.

Honestly, Treyarch would have to be braindead to leave out Zombies after they were such a huge hit.

It's the only thing that makes it slightly more than MW2 with a different coat of paint

That's the exact mission that I decided to stop playing on. My squad mates seemed perfectly content with standing outside of the building I was frantically commanding them to take shelter in. On top of that it seems you're the only squad capable of holding your position, because you just keep getting told that the other squads failed to hold their side of the village, so you're on your own defending pretty much a single house.

lol

I honestly bought the game just to play Nazi Zombies. It really is fun and considering my friend gave me all the map packs, wow.

I have the game with the expansion on my iPhone 3GS as well.. Good fun.

The other squad died out long before then. But a stroke of luck hit me on the first run through of the day, and I only lost my 4 and the co-pilot.

You should start up again; the next mission is a covert stealth mission, and if you play it that way, it's a lot of fun.

Oh, and I'm a fag. I got the Playstation Plus.

Just picked up Heavy Rain and I must say I absolutely loved it. Or at least the story, I found the general controls for walking around were hella retarded.

Was there anything in MGS2 different to Substance, or was everything in Substance just extra stuff, not changed stuff?

I was in CEX today and it was £2 with a good condition box, so I bought it since I only ever had Substance.

CEX PS2 games are dirt cheap, but there's fuck all I haven't played.

From what I can remember Substance was just extra stuff. The actual main game was unchanged.

Awesome extra stuff, but still, it's all just extracurricular modes outside the main game

Yea that was MGS3: Subsistence, it had the same camera as MGS4, it was a taster or experiment of how they would implement MGS4s camera.

Also, my PS3 got the YLoD.

Fucking again.

Third time now, getting it rapaired for probably the last time this week.

I'm just wondering, if I buy a small external HDD (~50GB) and backup my PS3's data onto it, then buy a slim PS3, will it accept the backup?

Sure. You've got to be at least twice as smart as half my team.

I'm almost done the campaign; a scant 2 missions are left. But, I'm leaving for Orientation tomorrow, so I won't be able to play until Friday night, if I were to finish the game tonight.

I'll send you a message when I'm done

There's two competitions on the PlayStation site to win a 3DTV and there's another for a gold PSP if you're interested. Of course you're interested, who wouldn't want either of those?

I think it's EU only, there might be something similar on the US site though.

Haven't played my PS3 in ages. Got hooked on World of Warcraft.

Can anyone who has experience with WOW tell me if it stops being addicting at all?

Once you've done pretty much everything possible it gets boring.

Which is pretty much impossible, seeing as they add hundreds more quests regularly.

WoW's a good timewaster imo, but I just couldn't get into it, I never felt the addiction so many people speak of. I prefer traditional RPGs and JRPG's like Diablo 2 and Final Fantasy.

I managed to get myself to stop playing it entirely before it got too addicting for me. I'd advise you to stop if you can if you feel it's too much but only a minority can do that.

I too haven't played much on my PS3 recently but my birthday is coming up and I have asked for a game or two.

I'm not sure if I'm actually addicted or I'm just starved of other stuff to do.

I'm still on the trial, but I'm thinking of getting a subscription just for the Summer.

Hold up.

Read what you just wrote out loud.

That's quite possibly the WORST time to purchase a subscription for an online game mate, summer is the time to go out and chill with mates on the beach. And get pissed ofc.
