It's the same thing they did with Rock Band 2. It shouldn't matter; it seems as though it's the same as the original, only with 32465413213165 more things in it.

Nice, I'll probably get it when it's finally released.

As a matter of interest does anyone know if FFVI and FFVIII are on the PSstore?

VI isn't but I've seen VIII on PS Store. It's not a favourite of mine but if you want to get it for £8, go right ahead.

It's a disgrace rubbish JRPGs like Final Fantasy are up on the Playstation Store, but I had to go out and buy Hogs of War second hand.

That reminds me, I was wanting to buy Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on PSN yesterday but when I had a look, it wasn't there. Turns out you can't get it on PS3 in Europe but you can in North America and Japan. WHAT THE FUCK?! If I want to play this game, I'll have to get a PSP and download it from PSN. How it can be on PSP but not PS3 is a mystery to me, especially when it was so in other regions. And no, buying the physical copy from eBay is NOT an option since that game is being sold a lot more than Tombi!

I'd love to but until I fix my PS3 I'll have to wait >_>

I'm going to try this method if anyone's interested, hopefully it'll work, if it doesn't looks like I'll have to open up the entire thing and reheat the solder on the motherboard and replace the thermal paste.

Oh joy.

Hogs of War seriously needs to be remade as a PSN game. But it probably won't happen due to the new Worms game. Pig bashing was great on my own back in the day but would be even cooler facing off against you lot :3

Word on the web has it that Sony is going to announce PSP2.

"Sony's latest financial results show a desperate need for a new PSP. From 14.1million PSP sales in 2008, to 9.9million in 2009? Ouch. Especially considering the PSP Go launched last year."

Considering the upcoming Nintendo 3DS, this doesn't surprise me. I'll see what the PSP2 has to offer and if it turns out it'll have some good stuff as well as being able to play PSP games, I'll have to consider getting it. There are some games I want for the PSP but I feel they're not enough to justify myself getting a PSP just for them.

I reckon there should be co-op online, as in two people can play as one team and kick the shit out of the other two players on the other team, that would be sexy.

Then we can both be the Trotting Twats and murderise Paul :D

in a loving way of course

also my dad let me borrow his PS3, and I think you all should know Resonance of Fate is the fucking tits.

if you like JRPGS

It's original, surprisingly.

So I'm currently thinking about buying a game, either Ninja gaiden sigma 2 or Dragon Age Origins. I have a feeling I'd get more out of dragon age, but ninja gaiden is just plain awesome. suggestions/comments?

I haven't played Dragon Age but I'd suggest you get it over Ninja Gaiden 2, if only because it won't make you throw a hissy fit of rage and dropkick your PS3.

Just sayin'

IGN gave Split/Second a 8.5. Others are giving it about the same. There's one or two issues with it but they were nit picking really. Not too long now :)

The only thing i didnt enjoy too much was the music during the drive. There was a subtle bit, but i would have like some MUSIC. You know, the kind bands play in concerts. Other than that the games is great.

I felt Split/Second was lacking something.. Like all the cars had the same speed and shit, and that you could only do the same power plays in the race.

I dont know, I just felt like it was a shitty version of Wipeout HD / Burnout, and it felt empty.

My specialty lies in online war/shooter games. Call of Duty: World at War is currently the only one I have but not the only one I play.
Stats for that game are a mystery to me, as I just play and pwn :o I don't even check. But I can tell you,
I'm level 62. Can't wait for prestige mode.

I agree. If you know the tracks, you can easily dodge most of the Power Plays. And although it's hard to gauge the cars by the demo (you only got to play as 1 kind), they all seem pretty much the same. Sure, there may be a little difference between types, but nothing major. Oh, and it's fucking impossible to get the 2nd stage power play, unless you're waaaaaaayyyyyy in front or really don't care if you're sitting in the middle of the pack for a while.

It's a fun game, but it's far from a polished title. I'd wait until the bargain bin prices, then get it. But I am excited to see if they can make the sequel much better than this one.
