I finally got around to playing the Heavy Rain demo last night. Unfortunately, I don't think I like it all that much. The two main high points of the game are the graphics and the story, both were amazing. However, I didn't like the gameplay. To just pass a dumpster you had to press like 3 or 4 different buttons on the controller, felt a bit tacky.

I'll probably still GameFly it.

I'm still banking on God of War III to be the highest rated game on the PS3. That's the game I'm looking forward to.

Got Gran Turismo for 99p today, and it works perfectly! Also, downloaded the Yakuza demo but yet to play it. And I've annoyed some guy on the OPM facebook group. He sent me a message full of mistakes, I thought about taking the piss but thought better of it.

If you're any sort of a Worms fan then you should have a look at this. But only if you live in Europe.

AvP has been installing since about...12pm? It's just reached 43%, the only downside of using Steam is my connection is a bit shit. I really hope it finishes before midnight, I wanna play this bitch.

Halfway now, only took 9 hours.

I've downloaded RE5's Lost In Nightmares DLC twice, having to delete it the first time and re-install it.

Does anyone know if this is common?

1. Has anybody else had to update a game, goes about 5-10% then has the ETA go up like ten minutes and get an error?

Breaking news, the campaigns for AvP are super short, who would have guessed.
But either way, the Alien and Predator ones are really fun, and the Marine ones are pretty scary. Really, the online is the best bit of the game.. as we knew it would be..

SSX3 is one of the very few sports games I actually like. Infact, On Tour was what got me into Iron Maiden. Heh, and to think these games are by EA Sports. It's good to know they're not entirely bad.

I never played On Tour, I didn't feel I needed to after SSX3, its just perfect.

A few pieces of news for those who may not be in the loop:

Valve will be developing for the PS3, although not right yet. Hey, a promise to develop for the PS3 is better than not developing at all.

Wii publishers head to Sony. Apparently, Nintendo is the only one making money on the Wii. In the coming years, we may be seeing a slew of new PSN games and smaller titles.

Sony is making a universal controller, or at least the patents for it. It uses an LCD touch screen, which does not sit right with me - I need real feedback, and until they can deform that LCD screen to make buttons, I'm sticking to my regular controller.

AvP is actually fucking brilliant, Master I know you'll be jizzing over the marine campaign and the survival thingy.

On the last level of the Predator and Marine, haven't started Alien yet, and I'll have a bash at multiplayer later.

DLC for RE5 had mis-matched character outfits.

The Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII has been confirmed as being significantly inferior to the PS3 original, with Xbox 360 in game graphics at 1024×576/2xAA versus 1280×720/2xMSAA on the PS3; texture quality and draw distance on the Xbox also suffer degradation, far from the "identical" versions Square Enix promised.

FFXI is also ending in 2010, to be replaced by FFXIV later.

FFVII remake might happen, and no FFXIII DLC planned.

Steam keeps dicking me around and downloading about 12% of the update and then going back to 0%.

Going to uninstall completely and start again tomorrow.

Well I know which copy I'll be getting then

Well, i got the DLC for AC2. I must say, it was well made, even though it should have been put in the game for free. Whatever, it was fun.

AVP is pretty awesome.

Ran through the Predator campaign, and did the first level of the Alien.

Predator is amazing when you're hunting humans, reminded me a lot of Arkham Asylum, actually, and average when fighting Aliens. Both boss fights were pretty shit, though. Queen you could just stand miles away from and shoot at, as her ranged attack was shit, and Predalien fell into the lava twice by itself and took off about 2/3 of it's health before I even got to shoot it.

Alien still makes me feel ill.

Finished Dragon Age.

I swear, that fucking Dog is a godsend.

Everyone else can die. Then all you need to do is let your army distract the Darkspawn while you run between the ballistas.

Disgaea 3 is blowing my mind O_O
