Don't get discouraged, PS3 doesn't have such a great "menu navigation" as xbox I personally think. Although it's free to play online and get DLC for games (for now).

I personally find ps3s menu to be easier to navigate than 360s, but I don't play 360 too much so I don't have much experience with it.

I think it comes down to familiarity, now with the release of the NXE menu that got rid of the "Blades" and switched to a system similar to the PS3's XMB

XMB is the best console interface, by far.
Also, what the fuck EU store, no The Who medley? That was released before Rust In Peace.

I like the XMB for its ease, but the guide button menu for the 360 is the best.

I think it's really good, not quite as atmospheric as the first game but still does the job well.
Although it appears to be SO much easier, I mean you start with a dril that slaughters splicers at close range, and after only about an hour or so I came across 2 Power To The People upgrade stations, in the first game they were much more spread out, so that when you finally found another one you were much more satisfied.
I haven't exactly played much of it yet though, so I'm hoping the difficulty picks up along the way
Oh and you can now use some sort of launcher to fire a hacking dart at cameras/gun turrets etc. to hack them from a distance, it's pretty neat, though I'm not sure what to make of the new hacking minigame, it's more catered towards the twitchy CoD gamer requiring good reflexes (that I am thankfully blessed with of course)
Suprisingly the graphics are a bit of a letdown in places, but I'm not a graphics whore, and anyway they are generally fine unless you like shoving your nose up against a wall and scrutinizing it.
I'd suggest renting it if graphics are a major feature for you, and buying it if they are not, though look around first, try play.com, zavvi, gameplay and hmv, I'm not sure how the prices vary.
However that Games for Windows Live is some serious bullshit, I hate it.

Im trying to decide what to get.
AVP, BC2, or bioshock 2.
The demos for AVP and BC2 were fun, i got hooked immediately to bad company though, considering i fucking loved the first. Not to much with the AVP demo, mainly the extremely long search time for multiplayer. The first bioshock was quite fun, but it didnt keep its value after you beat it. I hope the second keeps it with the online.

Platinumed Uncharted 2. It's better than the first but I'm shocked that this was Game of the Year and that some people have said its one of the best games ever.
It's average to good at best. It was fun on Crushing though, but that doesn't really change the fact its just climb up a wall, shoot some guys, tediously swap between journal and game, repeat.
And the graphics are better in Modern Warfare :P.
On the plus side, Elena is a great character. Those are some sexy pixels.

Yes. But with sincerity.
Uncharted 2 is prettier, of course. Flowers are nicer on the eye. But I think MW2 looks more realistic.

Chapter 4. Run and gun, shoot them once, then smack them in the chops.

I have Bioshock 2.
It is too big to fit on my shelf. A vinyl may be good, but a 16"x16"x3" box isn't.

Speaking of, has anyone else finished it? I actually completed it on Wednesday.
I thought the game was a solid fun experience. I can't say I was as immersed as I was in 2007 when I played the first one. I think it was because I felt like I had already been there (which I was). I was a little disappointed by the environments, I thought they were going to stand out a bit more. Something like the opening scene to Halo 3 or the exploration in Uncharted 2.
Over all it was a great game, just not better than the first. I thought the story was a bit weaker, but the ending was a lot better.

I was expecting a trophy patch for MGS4 but it turned out to be new trophies for Uncharted 2's DEE-ELL-SEE.
Also I'm ill and Nev made me feel worse. If I die I blame him for everything....well not everything, scetch is to blame for stuff too.

How long is it? Reckon I'll get through it in a weekend? Like to get it done before I get back to Uni.
I played until just after you kill the first Big Sister and get on the train with Sinclair, and it's pretty awesome so far.
I'm rescuing them this time, because Sinclair's voice is irritating, and he's the one who tells you to harvest them. I totally harvested them when it was Atlas, though. Atlas was ace.

No. I'll feel better when I can get back to being my normal self and I can smoke cigarettes without throwing up or play video games and not feel dizzy. So far the only thing I have left is complaining like an old man and no one will be able to take that away from me.

I'm 3 hours in. I'll power through the rest tomorrow, and get back onto Dragon Age.
That's a fucking long game. I'm 40 hours in, and I've only done Redcliffe, Orzamaar, and the very beginning of the Dalish Elves one.

I went through it in about 10 hours. I didn't stop get all the audio logs or anything, nor did I save/harvest all of the little sisters. I'm going to go back and play it to get those achievements.
I started the game on hard and it was hell of hard. You can get through it but you die so much. I wouldn't worry about Sinclair, you 'take care of him'.
