Agreed.
I remember an article about CoD4 and something like only 40% have touched the single played and a very small percentage had completed it.

I did something similar to that with Resistance in 2008.
I got rid of Resistance 1 a while after I got my PS3, but I never completed it.
So when I asked if I could have Resistance 2 for Christmas and was told that I could have it, I borrowed Resistance 1 from a friend and spent all night on Christmas Eve on it to complete it, so I could catch up with the story in readiness for Resistance 2.

What? He wants to beat the first game first, so he's not spoiling the story for himself, but he's not letting the game go to waste by not playing it at all. Nothing wrong with that.

Trust me, you can play the 2nd with out playing the first. There is 2 people from the first game that are in the 2nd. And they don't ever refer to the past game. I didn't play the first.

Beat Dead Space. The story really could have been told in 45 minutes, but it followed the "hey, fix this" format of atmospheric games. For $20, I think I got a great deal though.

But we can't keep our old characters from the private beta, and we had to redownload the 1.8 gig update again.

Trust me, the single player has nothing to do with the 1st game (besides the sexual tension of Elena and Nate). And it's pretty meaty, although it doesn't feel like it, so expect to invest a few hours on it.

Mordecai sucks, Brick kicks ass.
Eridian weapons also suck.
Also, I assume you've just started your second playthrough.
Funnily enough, the crazy folks at Gearbox decided to make the harder playthrough (wait for it).. HARDER.

And that's a bad thing? I don't know about you, but my character sucked. Not to mention I couldn't possibly get any where near the level I'm at right now when I'm fighting people already maxed out in everything.
And the Download? I could care less. It's fun as all hell.
Except when I get disconnected... What the hell does 13:1 connection error even mean?

I thought he meant it as in "my first game of multiplayer and co-op".
But still, I try my hardest not to get frustrated when someone plays online before they finish the story, but I can't hold it in.
There was a guy called Ceno_23 that hadn't touched the single player of CoD:WaW, but he was 9th prestige. He got MW2 last night, and all I saw was "playing Team Deathmatch in ______"
I ended up deleting him last night.

There's a lot of people like that on XBL. You can especially tell when they play Halo 3 because it shows right there in matchmaking how far they have progressed in the campaign, on what difficulty and what achievements they have in the game. There are a lot of people who just use their games for online and it saddens me :(

( I Decided Not To Quote Anyone)
U1...
The thing is with U1 is that i played through small majority of the story because i borrowed it of a freind we fell out so he wanted the game back, there isnt anything wrong with trying the story out luckily someone agreed with me! i want to also see what happends! its like watching/reading any other form of multimedia and not watching/reading to a full extent..
Yeah Im Skipping Story, but the only reason i bought it was because it was cheap, and im not paying 22 pounds for it pre-owned (the only copy i could find) when i can get it new on amazon for £15 there is nothing wrong with that, when i first purchase a game i dont play story to 100% i want to try everything on the first day.
Borderlands...
yeah i know they are supposed to make it harder, but having trouble in skag gully just does not compute, god knows how im going to be sledge...i had trouble beating nine toes! and wait... isnt the concept of making special weapons is making them uber pwnage, infinite ammo just isnt enough!
Other Shizzle.
Oh and M.A.G is not getting my precious 8GB memory left, it wasnt that good! i didnt really feel much teamwork when playing the beta....

So I downloaded the MAG beta today. 3 and a half hours of waiting and it isn't even that good. Weapons aren't powerful enough and you have be level 10 to play the really big games. The character creation thing is quite alright though. Might delete it later but we'll see. Also, it isn't anywhere near as good looking as Killzone or Uncharted. It's like they took the engine from Socom and just tarted it up a bit.

I felt pretty much the same. It's a love or hate game just like Socom. I have really liked any of Zipper's games so it isn't too much of a surprise to me. The preorders for the game are pretty staggering though.

Well, they aren't powerful when you're shooting, but the opponents have magic guns that can kill you in 2 shots.
But yeah, there really aren't too many options for equipment load outs. And the money limits are retarded.
and you have be level 10 to play the really big games.
I don't care about that. Unless the defending team sucks/attacking team is good, battles tend to feel pretty small, although you realize how big they are when you see other objectives opening up.
Also, it isn't anywhere near as good looking as Killzone or Uncharted. It's like they took the engine from Socom and just tarted it up a bit.
Of course, they're running it on a server that needs to handle up to 256 players at the same time, so the graphics aren't going to be stellar.

That may change once more people play the beta. I know that I canceled my preorder after playing the private beta.

RE5 was probably one of the best co-op games I have played in a long time. I think it might be time to actually buy that game.

Speaking of Resi, I still need to finish pro difficulty. Dying in 2 hits is a pain in the arse though. Also, finished story on Prototype. The final boss, if you can call it one was a bit crap. Now I just have to find the rest of the collectables and do hard mode. Erk...

Japan is releasing a Michael Jackson PS3 bundle, with the This Is It documentary with it. Charcoal Black PS3.
Sony and Panasonic have announced plans to increase the capacity of Blu-Ray discs (such as those used by PS3 games) from 25GB to 33.4GB. Hideo Kojima will be so pleased! The increase applies to all layers of the disc. So as soon as dual-layered Blu-Ray discs start becoming common, you'll be able to fit 66.8GB of data on a disc.

Should be a Plastic White PS3
I don't give a fuck if he's dead.

You won't see it with movies. Most modern movies, even in full HD, only take a few gigs of storage, so your movie companies won't care about that extra 8.4 gigs. But, as you said, Game companies will love it, since it allows them to lessen the compression of the games.
In other words, that's an awesome piece of news.
