Netflix for the PS3 next month.

Does GAME allow you to pre-order a game online but instead of it being delivered, you can go and collect it instore?

If so, I'm tempted to do that. I'm scared I won't get MW2 on the release date with all these postal strikes and such.

Wow fuck Brutal Legand, it froze on my after fighting emporer whats his face, so I restarted, and now my datas corrupted. I had almost finished it on brutal. So fuck that, I'm never picking up that game ever fucking again.

I might get a Netflix subscription. It's sort of strange that I'm thinking of getting one now though; I could have just hooked up my laptop to my tv with a VGA cable long before now. Good stuff though. I wonder if Microsoft will start extending the service to silver members now.

Sully is pretty cool, but Eddy's accent is amazing. Every one of his lines is gold.

I got Uncharted 2 today and I'm only on chapter 6, I was planning to get Fallout 3 GOTY edition, but realised some of the DLC may not have been worth it.

My internet is also fucking up at the moment as well, meaning I haven't been able to use the multiplayer just yet, hopefully, I can fix this problem tommorow.

The difference between the regular game and GOTY is 10 bucks. So, if you can sell your current copy for a good price, then it's worth it.

Anybody playing Battlefield 1943 at the moment? I downloaded it today, it's a great game. I still don't know how the fuck to open my parachute though. The destructable enviroment is good as well, nothing better than blowing a sniper out of a tower with an AA gun. Speaking of AA guns, people suck with them. I haven't been hit once by one. If you don't have the game, download the trial for free.

I like it a lot, although do you find flying incredibly difficult? I only last about ten seconds then I end up crashing in to a tree or something.

Sounds like a casual N4G comment. When the news was leaked about PS3 getting Netflix the comments were anti-360 and beating their chest over how they now have Netflix. Later the same day it is found out that you need the disc in the drive until sometime in 2010. Again instead of saying "oh man" it is still "360 sucks, it is their fault Xbots fail".

I'm am not really for Microsoft charging $50 a year for essentially online play but I pay it anyway because I enjoy the service enough that I will pay for it even if it should be free. In all fairness though I don't think the Gold subscription gets a fair rep. Gold subscribers get into betas and demos before silver member (if the silver members get it at all), they gets DLC early, Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM, Netflix (you have to subscribe to this as well though), parties, video chat, occasional free content.

I still think the service should be free but I just save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

IN PSTRIPLE RELATED NEWS.

Uncharted 2 came in today and I played the first two missions before I had to go to work. The game is gorgeous and very entertaining. I would say it is worth getting a PS3 over. I look forward to playing through the rest of the game and will try to enjoy the story despite all the spoilers you guys posted in here whilst chit chatting amongst yourselves.

So is mine. Every time I'm in a multiplayer game (but not co-op) I lose all controller input for a few seconds, then play for a minute, then lose it again. Not sure if it's my connection or a problem with the game. I think it's my connection; every once in a while my connection will crap out and I won't be able to load any websites on my computer.

I don't see the disc as being that big of a deal. It's ever so slightly less convenient, but at least it's free. I think it's more likely that the deal was just recently made and Netflix needs more time to integrate it through FW than it is that Microsoft is holding it back. The disc gets it to PS3's fast while they work on a solution. I could be wrong; maybe Microsoft's contract is to blame. Not that it matters too much. The effect is the same.

Mmm it is more like Qore than it is depriving the regular user of things. Essentially all you pay for is the online play (which should be free) but when you sign up for Gold you get a lot of perks that most of them don't really have to do with the actual gaming aspects, just perks. I still like my idea of how LIVE should work. Most of the content Gold members get Silver members only get a week or so later which is fine imo.

Upgrade all gold members to a Platinum status in which you get all the perks you're getting now as a Gold member plus some more content. You would still charge a nominal fee but you wouldn't have to pay it to play online. All silver members will be moved up to Gold. You get everything you were getting before except you can play online for free. Silver is dropped altogether.

So yeah, I'm on Lazarevic again.

Don't really care about Japan; no one (I'm pretty sure) here is from Japan. But the PS3 has seen a hefty sales increase across all regions from the price cut, Uncharted 2, Christmas, and Kevin Butler (at least for America).

Beat Demon's Souls for the first time today, was a lot of fun and really satisfying to complete my first run through.
