In actual related news, Tekken 6 is apparently set for December 08. However I saw a magazine scan of an interview with the developers saying they're not sure whether to keep it an exclusive.

I mean come on, people are playing it too safe. I want adverts where the consoles insult other consoles like back in the 90s. Now they're taking cheap shots at HINTING towards it. Not the good type of hinting either.

The Wii pretty much has a completely different market to the other two consoles. The only "Hardcore" games coming out for the Wii that I can think of are Mad World and (sort of) that new Animal Crossing game coming out.
The Guitar Hero series is still multiplatform.

OK, Brawl's a good game.
Virtual Console? We have the PS store and the 360 has XBLA.
The accessories are gimmiky and generally don't really appeal to the "hardcore".
The novelty regarding the wiimote wore off quite quickly.
The wii isn't a bad console but it's really only targeting the "casual" gamers.

also on that subject of E3 who do you all think won E3 not the right place to ask cause i might get some biased answers but i really dont think microsoft won cause none of the games made me excited and i hate final fantasy series and i even own a 360 and yet on the PS3 ive been keeping my eye on little big planet and that little demo made me really excited and even though we got a tiny trailer of god of war 3 its still gonna be awesome and then i read an article post E3 on killzone 2 and it sounds like a CoD4 killer then that one game with 256 players online a first for a console amazed me and DC universe sounded neat too like everygame at the sony booth made me really excited for when i get one later this year but wat did you all think

Apparently the new price drop 80GB PS3 doesn't have all the features that the previous "premium" PS3s have.

I'd look here (excuse that it's wiki) for what PS3 suits you.

Also about a new game well it's down to what you're interested in. Naturally all PS3 owners have Resistance as it's always in bundles. Though that may of changed. I would recommend MGS4, especially if you're going to use it online because the game itself lasts a week after completing every little bit so going on Metal Gear Online is a bonus.

Warhawk is an online game only which you might enjoy, though I haven't played that in a while. I may play it later.

Videos of Darth Vader in Soul Calibur 4. I'm liking it but (I'll be nit picking here) I don't like the new health bars.

I was kind of hoping there would be more info on character customization as I just started replaying Soul Calibur 3 to 'prepare' for the new one that comes out next week. You Americans get it a few days earlier than Europe.

At least these aren't the days where waiting for a game to come to a different region would be months rather than days.
