I give my condolences to you (however much I can give being a person who knows nothing about you) and would advise you to seek the council of remaining friends or family.

I take it you're really torn up about this and it's obvious that the shallow sympathy you will receive on the Internet will not help you overcome the grief instilled by the death of a parent. You need to have a meaningful conversation, preferably with someone who knew your father (perhaps you could learn more about him, even in death) or with a close friend. You need closure if you're ever going to move on and it's not going to appear on an Internet web forum (especially not one such as this).

I hope that, in due time, you become at peace with your father's death. I'm afraid that I, myself, have not had such an experience and I can offer no other advice on the issue.
