And Al Sharpton has done worse, he incited the Crown Heights riot in 1991, the whole thing was an anti-semitic outburst by blacks because they said the Jews were "taking over" their areas of the town. The rioters ended up beating a Jewish man to death.

Don Imus shouldn't have to apologize for anything. It was meant to be funny and if you didn't find it funny, deal with it. It pisses me off that white people are always apologizing. Like Kramer for example, he should not have apologized and yet he did. If I got called out for making a "racial slur", I wouldn't apologize. It's like white people are the new slaves and it gets me pissed. We took blacks out the jungle, away from disease and such. We gave them education. In fact, it was a white man who set them free and how do they respond to how we helped them. They all get together and act like we owe them something. We don't owe them anything and we never will. Many white men fought and died so that they could have their freedom and yet they remain so ungrateful. I wish some white man would get on national television and tell them to deal with it, and if they didn't like it, move back to Africa. Then that man wouldn't apoligize for anything. I believe america would have been better if we never brought them over here in the first place.

MSNBC cancelled the simulcast of his show and CBS is still considering (last I heard) what it will do about the radio side of the show...so Imus is not quite out of a job...yet.

One thing that irritates me is those Rutgers "women" going on air and saying "this scarred me for life." PLEASE! I think they're just trying to represent their demographic which, for so long, received NO political representation. Now they are trying to compensate, or perhaps feel justified for the rampant discrimination. Personally, I think Don Imus deserved the sacking that he got today. If you can't practice self-restraint in front of millions of potential consumers of your radio show, then you really don't deserve to have one, anyways.
