Can't hurt, iff it helps stop countering I'm all for it. That and America does have the ugliest money in the world. Hope it doesn't look like that picture though I'd feel pretty silly carrying around a wallet full of monopoly money.

I guess this will be a big boost for rap music:

Finally, I'm sick of handing over the wrong bills when getting the beers in, it totally belittles you in front of Kwik E Mart employees, and their patrons.
You see, the UK version is so much easier, for even the drunkest of people:
One/Two = A coin
Five = Green
Ten = Orange
Twenty = Purple
Fifty = RedHundred = Blue (I think, never seen one, but they exist, apparently)
It avoids bar embarrassment, and isn't as OTT as the Australian notes. Jeez, they're paranoid about forgery, and having artistic money at the same time over there...

They could make em pastel and put the easter bunny on them, and then do special christmas twenties in red with Santa that would be cool.

I would just wait for halloween, tansfer all my cash to the cool ass halloween money, and then spent that all year round. While smoking black cigarettes and wearing a trenchcoat, nonetheless.
And when are we getting some of that cool clear plastic australian money I keep hearing about?

We're America, everything we do is of the utmost importance to everyone in all those other poor backwater countries in the world.

Just to clarify something here, the reason they are doing this is... The only way to "succesfully" counterfit American currency is to drain out the ink from a 1$ bill and reprint the 20$ on the 1$ bill. This avoids the two hardest features to replicate, the bar through it and the paper "which is made by the treasury department special for the US currency. This explains the two most recent additions two our currency the 1$ coin and the new 20$ bill coming out. The reason they are making it a different color is because now they will not be able to use the 1$ bill to make 20's. I'm not sure why they arent worried about 100$ bills but it's probably because you cant get change for a hundred.
Some interesting facts about currency,
99.7 percent of all counterfited American money comes from Columbia
In WW2 Nazi Germany used Jewish prisoners to mass produce counterfited British money. This was supposed to be dropped over london to ruin the Brits economy but the plan was scratched and it was only used to fund the war (even now people cannot tell the difference between the GErman counterfits and the old Brit money).
The Least counterfited currency is Austrailias (Plastic money).
If you fold the twenty lenghtwise and bring the ends up you see the Trade centers burning, if you reverse the process you get an upside down Andrew Jackson. Coincidence? I think not...

once more for the hard of thinking:
The US abandoned the Gold Standard to help end the Great Depression in 1934. While the US still has FT Knox, the purpose of the gold inside it is no longer to back up the US dollar. If you notice when you look at a dollar bill, it doesnt say how to redeem it for its value in gold anywhere, does it? Thats because there is no gold standard in the US anymore.
No gold standard.
Seriously.
Not kidding at all here.

Canada's been redoing it's entire currency, prettymuch.
And, our dollar is on the rise!
But-
One-Loonie (gold colored coin)
Two-Twoonie (gold in the middle, silver outside)
Five- blue bill
Ten- Purpleish bill
Twenty-green (soon to be changed)
Fifty - Red (I think. =P With my finances, I see a lot of loonies)
