Culturcide - "Industrial Band"

On the road for two days
Last night, Reno, we didn't play
The club got itself shut
We ate inner at pizza hut
What kind of music do you play?
It's a cross between Cyndi Lauper, early SPK
Your comparisions never bore me
As long as you can fit me in your category
We're an industrial band
We're coming to your town
You're gonna pin us down
We're an industrial band
We're not fast enough for punk today
We don't have enough money to become new wave
Feeling down, feeling depressed, feeling doom
There's no toilet paper in the bathroom
But these fine ladies, they had plans
They went out to meet the boys in the band
They said "Come on dudes, let's have sex!"
But we just talked about child abuse and Hitler's SS cause
We're an industrial band
We're coming to your town
We're gonna bring you down
Cause we're an industrial band

I knew Bill Clinton liked saxophone stuff, but I never knew that he promotes Industriousness.

this is from SMNNews so sorry for how badly written this story is:

Post-punk vocalist JARBOE will release her new album on October 14 in the US through eclectic Brooklyn-based label The End Records. The project, entitled MahaKali, follows on the heels of JARBOE's highly successful J2 collaboration with Justin K Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu), released earlier this year by THE END. MahaKali is currently streaming in its entirety, courtesy of Rhapsody.

Before writing her off toooo quickly, the album features all-star line-up with special guest appearances by Philip Anselmo (Down, Superjoint Ritual, Pantera) and Attila Csihar (Mayhem). Also appearing are Josh Graham (A Storm of Light, ex-Red Sparowes), Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia, Byla), and spoken word recitations with collaborator/bassist Cedric Victor.

The framed vinyl edition of the new Throbbing Gristle record is available for pre-order now. There are 777 copies, £120 a pop. Included is an extended CD exclusive.

The government promised me a job 2 months ago. I'm living on £40 a week, I can hardly afford to see my girlfriend, let alone sort out Christmas or book my big surprise for Valentines day, I'm pretty sure I'll be royally fucked with this too.

I've been on jobseekers since the end of June. It does feel quite degrading and I probably should actually look for a job... but then again it's £47.50 a week for doing nothing =D

£47.50 a week can't feed me and allow me to take my girlfriend on dates. Sucks. :(

Anyways, I got Ms ZAAL a golden Maneki Neko for Christmas (she's not a weeaboo and will probably never become one, because an ex-friend of mine leaked info about my AZN fetish to her, so any looking at Oriental items is viewed with suspicion).

Still, she loves this cat. I might get her more Maneki Nekos :D

Anywhoo, sad that I cannot afford The Thirty Second Annual Report Of Throbbing Gristle, I decided to cheer myself up.....and ordered myself 4 David Bowie singles: The Hearts Filthy Lesson, Strangers When We Meet, Hallo Spaceboy and I'm Afraid Of Americans.

If I don't have all of David Bowie's Industrial output, I am coming very close to it.

Driving a train would be so fucking Industrial. In my wee booth, blaring Gary Numan and The Human League while trundling through Ballardian scenery. It's my home. =3

Next time I am at the job centre, I'll be all "Fuck, I want an Industrious job!"

Apparently my old boss (of being an arsehole fame) has been giving me bad references for the past SIX MONTHS of my unemployment. Yep, that's quite annoying. There is not even an appeal for bad references. I just lost a job that I had been already given a starting date for.

I'm so writing to my MP.

My mum went looking for CDs for me for Christmas.

My mother on Death In June cover art: "That's horrible!"
My mother on Skinny Puppy: "WHAT IS THIS?! Why can't you listen to normal music?"

I remember when my mother went to find me some Opeth a few Christmases ago and some ignorant clerk called them "horrid death metal for Satan worshippers".

Fun times.

Not too fascinating, but a pleasant read.

Meh taste in metal there, Jarboe.

The Path sounds sorta cool, might play it when it comes out.
