This is stupid, we have about 30 political parties in canada. The only ones that are nationwide, and therefore eligible for government funds though are the green party/NDP/Liberals and Conservatives.
If it was a two party system we wouldn't have a minority government. Also, it's prolly good you vote for the Green party, because each vote a party receives gives them about 80 cents to help them in the next election. Also we don't have an extremely high tax rate, look at europe. If you want an american taxrate, you would find that we wouldn't have any decent social programs. Our education system would be a nightmare, our healthcare would be in shambles, and social welfare wouldn't exist. High taxes help redistribute wealth, and keep our economy strong. And again, we don't have super high taxes. Although you can thank the conservatives for raising taxes this year for the people in the lowest tax bracket, yet cutting taxes for people that are upper middle class.

The problem with Canadian politics is the first past the post system. We should have elections and a Parliament more representative of the Canadian voters.

I agree, it should be percentile voting. If a party gets 10% of the vote, they get 10% of the seats. Minority governments are good for everyone.

The other thing about our so called 'democracy' is when Parliment votes on a bill.
It should be a private vote.
No other member of any Party should know how you vote.
That would be true democracy, & the unreasonable Party Politics of -you vote how we tell you or we're kicking you out -would become a thing of the past.

I'm content with any party in Canada except the NDP. Any party is better than them(unless that party is also compromised of semi-religious socialist assholes).
