Hey guys I've just decided to make a thread for all of us speed painters here. Post digital or other paintings that you have made in less than 3 hours (i know it's alot of time for a speed painting).
Also, if you are doing one, please try to capture it on video, either live or use
cam studio http://www.camstudio.org/CamStudio20.exe
to capture it digitally right on your computer and then you can just edit it and output with windows movie maker . Then upload the image here and upload the video to
www.youtube.com so we can watch you painting it :) .
also here is a resource if you ever get artist's block

http://viaggg.free.fr/3CH/3ch_web.php

it generates a random topic for you to paint/draw

Any other interesting information about image (inspirations?)

I'll start off with my newest one first here is the video link

Nice, these are pretty good. Does it have to be an ART like painting, or can it be like a Flash picture.

I think most of this is photoshop.

Flash would be fine if it is good, I'm guessing.

Ya I heard of him. He's a talented one. But I hate how people in YouTube just troll around his videos saying they can do better or tell him to get a life. He's seriously skilled.

All I've seen is people putting the same tags as his video, and the same name, but it being just a crappy ms paint thing as a joke. But it still shows up in the "related" videos in that menu.

I like his stuff, that Mona Lisa he made in MS Paint was incredible :o

I really like the city in the background.
Kinda abstract-ish and even a bit grungy!

Good work :)

No worry about no video, I don't even really understand how to make a video with you drawing (except on that art pad website).

oooohhh, I thought it was speedpainting as video of a picture made and then speed it up so that it doesn't last 3 hours.

yeah, speed painting refers to the fact that you crank out the image as fast as you can with it still looking halfway decent. It's a good exercise to train your skills @ art, because you have to do it so quick and you end up thinking less and less about it.

but how could you spend 2 hours on a "speedpainting??Isn't it supposed to be really fast? Also, every noob could post their 30seconds drawing and it would still be a speed painting, right?

It depends on how much time on the paintings you usually use (me: 3-5 hours) :D

hmm, the link doesn't seem to work..

Anyway, i tried the capturingthing. But it wasn't working really good.
One minute = 400 mb
that means that two hours is 400*60.... hmm.. = ...... = 48000 mb!!!!!...... i think...
Anyway, one minute almost locked up the system, so i couldn't imagine what two hours will! haha!!!

whoaaaa try messing with the capture/quality settings and make it so it captures an image every like 700 milliseconds. Mine were captured @ 600 but they are shorter. But, yeah see if you can find the quality/compression settings in there like edit>preferences
