I dont know if this is the right forum but..
I'm on a lan and i cant get kazaa or winmx to work.
It just keeps on saying Connecting...
and it wont connect.
please help.

Uuum, what sort of LAN are you on? Is it one at home where you have access to the router?

Then you can open ports and configure WinMX to use those ports. I can help with that if that's the case.

If you're on a college LAN you might have to play with the proxy settings in the WinMX setup. Can't help you there :P

Well, iMesh is better no matter what type of internet connection you have! You can get it at http://www.imesh.com, Trust me it works better then Kazaa for good!

and follow instructions on how to uninstall Kazaa and download Spybot to clean the crap off your machine. Kazaa is truly evil.

I didn't know Kazaa destroyed your machine, but it sure has a lot lot lot of spyware.
I reccomend downloading AD-Aware 6.
I also give you an advice: Download Kazaa Lite (search the General Forum), it is spyware-free, and much more effective !!!
Plus, about your connection problem.
I don't think Kazaa can work with a LAN connection. Only with Internet I think !
I don't know, not sure, can't be too sure.
