Yeah I just got guitar 2 on tuesday as well, and just recently I got those red lights of death. Like repeatedly. Anyone know how I could fix the problem, without sending it to get repaired?

You could be stubborn and not send it in for repair, in which case your probably have no hope, or you could get a new 360...which is impractical.

There isn't much other ways, what I can suggest is get it repaired and when you do, buy this thing, it goes in the back of the 360 and has 3 cooling fans and you can much more stability, reliability and most importantly lifetime out of your 360, it cost about £20 ($40 I think) I have 1 and it's great.
