Help exporting Flash as a video 2007-04-03 19:40:28 Reply

I'm trying to export my cartoon as an AVI file so I could make a dvd but everytime I try I get an "Error creating AVI file" I dont have a clue what the problem is.If anybody can help me that would be great. Thanks

Flash sucks at creating AVI files, among alot of things.

When you first tell flash to create an AVI file, it should be giving you a bunch of different export types. If one doesnt work, try another. And another. Eventually one will work.

If you publish it as a mpeg and go download the free version of Total Video Converter, you can easily switch it over to AVI and total video converter is easy and simple! :D

lol,I got the same problem with my movie edited in Flash

1-Remember that your Movieclips won't work in an AVI file or whatever the file you'll choose

2-I tried every Free trial of converter of SWF to AVI and it will just put an ad,or export the half of your animation,so you'll need to buy it.

Hope this will help(For my 2nd statement,if an other person tell me that it's not true,I would like to know)

it means your encodeing setting are wrong

but it you ask me, mp4 h264 is the best, avi xvid second and always export your movie at a higher resolution than it was made, for better quality.
