Fire has never melted steel in Human history

Here's a great way to gauge your political I.Q. Rehash over Rosie's recent ode to enlightenmenfrom last week, if you haven't heard about it already. Personally, I think the woman makes the angels cry everytime she opens her mouth to give an opinion. But this recent episode has really sparked a lot of coverage; it's resonating with people.

Is there some saving grace in this clip of Rosie's that I'm missing here, or am I just underestimating how many stupid people are willing to chug her vocal diahrrea?

well, enough heat can melt steel, however, steel doesn't have to completely melt in order to bend.

For those of you who do not, when your burning something the fuel being used isn't the only factor.
Never mind that this um ...lady(?) says about the steel not getting hot enough to melt.
It is very much established that heating metals causes them to expand.
It makes them malleable (softer)

Once you have a fuel burning the amount of air (oxygen) that is able to be introduced to the heat will greatly influence the temperatue of the fire.

It is why a blacksmith uses a bellows to blow air into the forge to be able to increase the heat of his fire.

We don't know how much airflow was entering that fire hundreds of feet in the air. I'm willing to bet it was totally unrestricted & it got all the air it needed.
Once the top 20 floors or so started a downward movement, the momentum wouldn't be stoppable.
The math on an object being raised or lowered at 32 ft per minute is basicly a load of 1000lbs is stopped, the weight factor on the lifting mechanism goes to 3 times the weight of the load or in this case 3000lbs.
So if its velocity is faster the weight of the load increases exponentially.

I'm glad that Rosie doesn't even know what she's talking about when she's suggesting a way to find proof.

But if it makes any difference, a professor at my university, who has a doctorate in structural engineering and specializes in how structures behave in fire, happens to think that it's entirely plausible for a building to fall like that.

The thread isn't about discussing the 9/11 conspiracy; I'm wondering why so many people take why this political dunce has so much influence with the garbage she spews. I simple underestimated modern America's lack of ability to view things analyticaly.
