Yes, it is way more common. Circumsizion was orignaly preformed for religious purposes only. but America is such a rich and clean country that doctors decided the penis is cleaner if circumsized. So it's done to every baby unless requested to not by the parents.

Well you see in America circumcision happens in the hospital.About a decade ago some American board of health said that there were studies that had shown the advantages of being circumcised.So now in American hospitals male babies are automatically circumsiced.If you dont want your baby to be circumsized you have to notify the hospital otherwise the circumcision happens automatically.
