Well, the first new Flash version under Adobe's ownership has come out, and it looks pretty neat.

They are using Flash to further advertise Photoshop. Seriously, the only improvements are AS3 and it being compatible with Photoshop.

I hate Adobe.

I agree with the fact that it is just a big PS advertisement though. Seems like Adobe worked on incorporating Photoshop into Flash and left out main Flash updates that should be included. We'll have to see though. I'll judge after I get the trial...

I didn't see any actual release date yet. Just preorder.

Did anyone else see about how it now supports exporting MovieClips and actionscript based animation to Quicktime. Makes life easier for exporting to video or DVD. For me, that's worth the upgrade cost alone.

If it wasn't a money machine, why'd they buy it? In fact, I think it's only gotten more popular with the more recent versions. I don't think we have to worry about no new versions.

yep that does look pretty ugly. hopefully they will have an option wether to show it in cs3 view or classic view like macromedia used to do with dreamweaver.

i highly disagree. a lot of things people have been wanting for years is finally in there and it runs alot faster. only thing else i want is better music sync and easier ways to make custom components and skins. the first one is probably in there already.
