I'm with bungled_girl on this one...I like mine a little black around the outside. As for sides, a baked potato w/ the works, garlic mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, or mac 'n cheese (yes i've seen it paired with steak), and maybe a piece of garlic toast.

If it can't get to my table under it's own power, it's overcooked in my book. I usually cooks steaks on the grill with steamed shrimp, baked potatoes, and broccolli.
