Is Vista All That Bad?

Lets take the price out for a minute. Excluding this quite large inconvenience, how is Vista shit? I've heard so many state that its crap but I rarely hear them explain why. I'm convinced their opinions are due to the price tag. But in my mind, I'm getting one because the price doesn't really effect me much (I'm getting Home Premium) and it's a solid upgrade. Anything I should watch out for?

Something I've heard of is that Windows 95 had more useful features than vista does now. Some varities can't do things like record, burn, dial, etc. etc...

I have vista on one of my computers. No programs work on it. You have to get drivers special for it every time you put software on. It is ok though. I don't mind it. The only problem is that it blocks everything you do and asks if you want to do it.

Well, i got so much illegal shit I cant list all of them here, because there's not enough room for that. Vista fucking doesn't search or delete anything, be it legal or illegal.

It's a humongous resource hog (Vista Home Premium alone uses up ~1GB of RAM). Not to mention it takes over 14GB of disk space for the OS alone.
And then there's DEP. Data Execution Prevention. It sucks donkeyballs and prevents you from running about everything (I even had to find a workaround to get MSN running).
The improved security is downright annoying, especially because without some modifications you can't even run an ipconfig.
The famous search in Vista uses a continuous crawler that indexes your files (taking up CPU and RAM). The index takes up quite a bit of disk space too.

Only good thing about Vista are the new games like InkBall, I enjoyed that.
