Thanks for your first sentence hypocrisy. Did I say I knew everything that's going on? I don't have every single fact about the war, but I guess you do. I don't like how people make assumptions, that just because I'm 14, I'm unintelligent, and that I don't care. I never said that I was smart, but I guess people are always too young to make valid points. Thanks for telling me that I'm some how inferior because I'm not as old as you are. I'm proud, that you think just because I'm 14, you'll shut me up by thinking that pointing out my age will actually mean something.

But I'd sure as hell be giddy (with fright, most likely) if a sniper round landed inches away from me-- and giddy (with relief, most likely) if none of my guys got hit and we're all still alive after an ambush.

What they say makes sense to me because soldiers are not emotionless killing machines: they feel fear, relief, and anxiety just like anyone else.

You have no idea what you are talking about, when it starts getting hot and you are taking incoming sometimes you use jokes and laughter to calm yourself and your buddies down .even if you are scared as hell during the fight is not the time to show it it does no good, fear only perpetuates more fear and leads to you getting killed.
