Yeah i know, i was just saying.. that in general your stuff is cute and it would be a challenge to do. Plus some of your characters are blobby, but not all ;)

Hey Raz, think you could show us in a few steps how you do that sorta thing? Like what you did with the last one? I think it would be really helpful to hone photoshop skills :)

So, Razac. I have a few questions.

Do you do all of your painting in Photoshop? And, do you use a tablet?

I've rarely tried to do painting, as I don't have a tablet, and my mouse is in a very confined alcove instead of on a proper desk. Also, I can never seem to use the paintbrush tools in Photoshop to great effect on a new piece of artwork—I just like to manipulate pre-existing pictures.

Some of the stuff you've done is pretty incredible, man. :)

yea I just use photoshop and a tablet, how ever I diddnt used to, heres a pic I did 5 years ago using the mouse, I drew it scanned it then coloured it, this was also at a time where I prefered using a mouse over my wacom :S looking back now I must have been on crack or somthing.

Anyway heres the pic, its fanart for me and my friends original sprite based comic, lol

and yea I use the name Raz or Razac for everything back then.

and yea thats why I used a mouse too, I felt I had more control over what strokes I was doing, the only reason I started using my wacom was because I was seeing all these professional digital artists using them.

i want to do art, but i cant find the pen for my tablet, and im crap with a mouse :'(, and is photoshop INSANELY better than fireworks, or just a bit, cus ive got fireworks

Fireworks and photoshop can do most the same things as far as still drawing goes, it's just a little harder to do some things in fireworks. If I remember correctly (it's been a couple years since I had FW) FW has better vector tools, and it's definitely the better animation program.

if you want it to look like it was sketched by a pencil, use the corel paint that came with your tablet and choose the pencil tool, it has a setting to 2B pencil that looks just like one. best pencil tool ever.
