i actually got it from starship troopers when i first watched it....i started using what i thought was the guys name for about 2 years as an internet name before i actually looked it up and its infact Rasczak..lol but i carried on using Razac...damn been using this username for 10 years O_O thats how much i liked that film

hahaha um.......never its just a hobby

but i sorta came into my element when i went to college about 3 1/2 yers ago...but even then i diddnt do art...i did multimedia....which was a mix of interface design 3d design flash animation all that stuff...very rarely did i actually draw and digitally paint characters...

and its only in the last 2 1/2 years that i have adopted the style you see today....where i just paint and leave no visual line art......unlike my previous work where i draw a heavy line art piece first then fill it in.

as with everyone else here im still learning, and i think i have quite a lot of room for improving

You make me wanna go murder someone just for photoshop so i can achieve your awesomeness. i only ahve Flash Pro 8. Awesome work.

You should be making money for this if you're not already. I saw the large version of that shark pic and I'd gladly pay cash to have a poster of that.

Dude that Gollum looks awesome, and your creatures are really spiffy, I could seriously see them straight onto a Magic: The Gathering card.
You're really good with lighting and suggesting depth in your images, and I gotta admit I thought you had stolen that shark picture when I first saw it because I didn't know you and you type like a tard :O Haha no offense, but if you can spend 10 hours on a digital painting, why can't you write the word "you" fully??

Anyways if you really want to get better with anatomy, you have to sketch. It's useless to spend 10 hours on each face, you should be drawing tons of people and faces on paper. That's depending on what you want to do later in life of course, I could see you as an amazing comicbook colorist. I also can't wait to see that Optimus picture :p

I actually tried out a different colouring method to see if I liked it or not...and i have to say I did and will probably be using it again.

draw the picture in black and white first then colour it using layer overlay effects etc

stage one - black and white

Stage 2 colour

stage 3 finish

Other than practice, what do you do? any excercises/websites or classes that can help? ive only done 1 photoshop painting(see below) and i draw fantasy stuff in pencil and i cant seem to make any of my pencil drawings look how i see them in my mind.

Theres no real shortcut really to draw well, you just have to practice practice practice...

my old stuff www.arrons.co.uk everything on this link is years old, 6 years old alot of it.

there should be a link at the bottom of the holding page...which has been holding that spot for 5 years lol

you may have the ability to imagine all these great things but you also need to ability to put in on paper..thats where the practice comes in.
