That could be an idea, I would like to see what the others in the collab thinks of this? But 12 parts is pretty big, it will be about 3-5 minutes depending on how long the parts is.
I would gladly do the menu. I have an idea, I will post a sample when I start working on it.
They used to call me DreamworX..

I think it's much better like this, but I'd love to hear your opinions.
I can already see the "the walking is still manky" comments...

It sure is better now, the walking is still not perfect but if you don't feel like improving it more it will work just fine. One thing though, I didn't get the joke :P
But it's probably just me who is too dumb ;)

i like it,but i diddnt get the " stop bracket semi colon,what?"
im stupid
Posted at: 3/27/07 03:01 PM
Hahaha, I wanted to make him repeat it in order to really get the point across, but it failed, hahahaha. Alright, tscool, I'll change it again and think of some proper lines to really get the point across. Thanks for the feedback, guys!
I'm keeping the Tankman, though... Tankman rawks!

Sorry, but we are out of spots and I don't really see what you could contribute..

So, how's it going for everyone?
I finally found some time to work on my part yesterday. However, my animation experience is almost equal to nothing so I spend most time just to find someting that I could handle to draw but still decent. I would like some feedback on my first character, I will attach a pic below(the colors might be a little bit off since it's a .jpeg). You are welcome to give me your thoughts about it even if you're not in the collab ;)

You should allow people to keep making pieces even you think you already have enough people. Some people might drop out or others might be betetr animators. You dont have to coauthor everyone. Why not let anyone that wants to make a bit make one. You can get a lot more in than you seem to be allowing and it seems silly.

You have a point. I guess that everyone who wants to could do a part, and if anybody drops out I will pick the best to replace them. But it feels a little bit unfair to kick out people that already has a part from the collab if someone would make something better, so I will just take in somebody new if any of the others drop out. I don't think we should do more than 12 parts either, I think it's a good number and the quality will probably be lower if we let more people in.
If the interest is big though there might be a sequel to this collab..

Looks good, I particularly like the shading. Did you do this with a tablet or just plain drawing with the good old mouse?

I used a tablet, but I have barely used before at all so it was a little bit hard in the beginning. ;)
Since I haven't made much animation, mostly games, I'm not that good at animating and I was afraid that I would have to give my part away if it would be too sucky, but I think that it might actually work ^^ With a little help from BritishMoose I was able to do a decent animation of my character walking:

Hehe, clever man, leaving the legs out is always a good idea. Looks good though!

Sorry about the double post, guys, but I tried again:

I just hope it's more understandable now and gets the point across...

I think it's better now, but still not fully understandable. However, if you formulate the 'sign' good(the text that is going to appear right after your animation), it will probably work just fine. Do you have one in mind?

The worst bit is the paint at the end. Paint doesnt drip like that. Also it waits before it starts to run, paint pretty much runs straight away. Maybe put some blur on it or soften fill edges if you want it to look more like paint. Paint drips from spray paint runs straight downwards starting fast then slowing up. Hope that helps

What kind of sign do you mean? Just the one mentioning which point this was, so #25. You know when you do too much flash when you graffiti AS in the bathroom?
Also happy sheep, thanks a lot for the advise, man, I'll try to get that in there. Cheers!

Yeah, but I think that this doesn't fully match your animation. I guess that it will probably work just using that, but I think it could be better if we could change it a little so that it fits your animation.

Haha, nice :) The only thing I would suggest is that you shorten it down some, it feels a little slow-paced. But maybe it wont when you add sounds, what does everybody else think?
Also, isn't he supposed to have eyes? :P

Of course not. Not when he's frustrated/looking down.
And yeah i'll shorten it down.

Ok.
How did you animate him drawing btw, API or FBF?
Just curios :)

Sorry to disappoint, but I have to drop out. I have no time for animating and I'm no good at it anyway. With my final exams and coursework deadlines approaching, I need to dedicate most of my time to studying. Sorry guys! I'm letting chillyphilly have my part if he's still interested, as he requested it earlier.
lolsigtrend i just wanna fit in :'(

Ok^^ It looked pretty clean so I thought it was API, it must have taken quite a while then?
FBF is not noobish, I tween XD

Yeah it took a little while. What I actually did was draw it, then put another layer of white over it and then I frame-by-frame moved the pencil over the lines. After I did that I framebyframe erased the white over the lines where the pencil was moving.
Probly not the best method, but it worked xD.
