For those people that have a hard on that they want to get rid of without the use of the internet and the bombardment of popup ads may opt for a video. However, there is ONE problem. Everytime you go to buy a porn video, the person at the checkout is ALWAYS a young attractive girl. Despite you not knowing this girl and the likelihood that you will never see her again, you still can't help but to feel like a pervert. So a subsititution for that is Anime porn. Often, the boxes show no indication of pornography save the 18+ rating. But still, you don't feel as awkward as you might with something like "Muffy the Vampire Screwer" or " Super Hornio Brothers". So , what films would be good for that 10-15 minute viewing pleasure, then hide the movie under your bed and don't watch the rest till...well you know. Here are some good titles...

Ali Davis wound up as a porn clerk for awhile, and kept a journal of sorts on the subject.

If you search for "anime" the first thing you get is something she wrote about the adult anime.

The Anime section is the one that really makes me cringe. It's upstairs in the general releases since it's all, you know, cartoons, and some of it is charming fare like My Neighbor Totoro. But a lot of it is incredibly hardcore stuff - way worse than we'll allow in the real-people porn downstairs. My position on porn is that I'm fine with whatever floats your boat, as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult. Manga throws both of those rules out the window. Sure, all the boxes claim that all the characters are at least 18, but a lot of them are clearly drawn to look about 12. And there's a lot of raping. Not just run-of-the-mill raping, either - we're talking about triple-penetration rape by demons.

I consider myself a first-amendment feminist, but to be honest the anime section really makes me wrestle with that sometimes. And guys that rent the entire La Blue Girl series all at once (check out the box cover sometimes and you'll see what I mean) freak me out even worse than the guys who rent the Animal Trainer series.*

We have to watch the anime section because it's right next to the foreign films and the tags are the same color, which means a clerk who isn't on his toes could check out a shitload of hardcore animated underage rape porn to a kid and yes, once they see that there's sex stuff on some of the boxes kids definitely try to slide it past.

On another note, that site is really interesting. It deals with her short-lived career as a porn-clerk, although there's no adult pictures or anything there. It's a very good read.

I must admit I find myself in 2 minds on this.
I'm not a particular fan of Anime, have seen a few pics & vids but tend to prefer real women. But then, I don't agree with the anime-haters on NG who slam anything with drawn women in: "yuo must be saad, get yorself a gilfriend, etc etc.". And yes, some anime is disturbingly perverted & hardcore, but then, as the same people are so fond of saying, "its onley a drwaing! its not a RELE WOMAN!" - at least you know it doesn't actually do any direct damage to real people - unlike the porn industry, with its seediness, venereal diseases & exploitation. Plenty of dirty 40-year-old directors in there...
Hmmmm do I have a conclusion? Not really, except perhaps that you have about as much chance of shagging Sailor Jupiter as you do of laying Jenna Jameson.
