And wasn't Tom going to remove the popups and stick with the banners?

Its probably just something thats not from NG.

You'll only have gotten that ad if you were looking at the old bbs - the ad dates back to September 5th, 2001 and the old bbs (to my knowledge) is the only place that it spawns from.
