It seems like blams come in bunches. I might have 20 one day then 3 the next.

Hmm weird. I know several regulars of this forum can get a pace of between 10 and 20, but no matter how long I'm online I never seem to get any more than 10. Usually I get somewhere between 3 and 8.

sure is weird how we are like that i cant seem to get any more than 10 my self my last 5 days have been like this(including the first 4 hours of today)

12/2 35 B/P only 6 of them blams
12/3 42 B/P only 9 of them blams
12/4 12 B/P only 3 of them blams
12/5 24 B/P this could go to 10 i already have 7 for today

not just the last 5 days but really its been like that for me ever since may 2007 first 2 months i think i was blamming everything then suddenly i started feeling like saving everything and only blamming certain things

i think i had about 2000-3000 blams before i hit 1000 saves now my numbers look like this

23156 saves
7548 blams

Not sure how its been for you exactly in the same time span but right now you have a 1.903 protect/blam ratio going mine is a 3.067 protect/blam ratio so i find my self getting even less 10 blam days then you do lol.

I remember when i first joined it seemed like the save frenzy was just getting started i probably played a role in it after may 2007 since thats when i really started saving stuff i actually pictured my self one day being on the blam list at the time but now i cant really see it happening for many more years if ever so il just enjoy being on this list and climbing up the ranks here instead

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I've been trying to do that while carrying on with Saves. 23k isn't bad, but it's not top 50 worthy just yet!

Yeah, according to my list data, your average is about 5-10 per day for the year. You're one of the major potentials, along with Haggard, ORKarate and Gagsy.

I think it's down to the fact that in order to catch Blams, you've got to be as quick as fixit was, back in the day when the 200th vote was the only vote to actually get the Blam point.

It's been up and down, but the 1st and second were the tail end of a streak, where I'd had 11+ Blams for 9 straight days. I managed it for 24 straight days in February, when I was chasing down 20k, so it is possible.

I know I once had a 3:1 blams:saves-ratio. Apparently it was already lower than that when the redesign came. I think it was 12000:9000 back then, and on Madness Day '07 it went 50:50.

Over time it now became somewhere close to 1:2. And yes I have had about the same pace as you over the past years. With a few exceptional days where Wade deleted stolen submissions or when there were simply a lot of blams out there.

Yeah. Perhaps I'm just missing out on a lot of those terrible submissions that get blammed after 50 votes. I should pay more attention.

So, my pace is very low, but I manage to get about the same amout of blams as Auz does. :P
I think I changed my voting habits since I reached SC, plus I really want to get onto the top blammers list. I guess because of those factors I vote 0 or 1 on flashes I would have tried to save about a year ago. Or I'm just fed up with spam submissions and try to blam most of them.
Most of the time I even get more blams than saves, so the last week isn't really representative.
For example on 28th of november I had 24 B/P with 16 blams, the day before 17 B/P with 9 blams.. ok, on 26th I had 43 B/P with 19 blams, which means I had more saves. But still it seems as if this is quite a lot of blams in comparison. ;)

looks like i was not imagining things looking at my post history i found this post of mine from the level up lounge it says this

:3000 blams!

:kinda hard to imagine it took me this long i got to 2000 blams in 2-3 months of being here then yet it took me another 6 months just to get to 3000 i sure must have been saving alot i remember when i had like 1500 blams and only 150 saves lol...

this was from november 2007 and a post i made before this one said i had 8000 saves so that means i had close to a 8/1 protect/blam ratio after my 2000th blam but before that even i had a 10/1 blam/protect ratio >_< hard for me to imagine me ever doing this but my post history proves that i did
