I got to 10,000 in both blams and saves after about 2 years or so. And within those years I missed half a year because I was only active in the forums.

With blams I was lucky that I was in the era where blams were fairly easy to obtain though. Nowadays it is kinda hard to reach 10k blams from scratch.

There was a heated debate about this in the Elite Guard Barracks that ended in his expulsion. He wanted to stay ahead of me for B/P points, regardless of the method that got him there. Yes, if we see a red flash in the portal, the first reaction is to click it, then vote 0 straight away. What he did was when he saw anything that he thought was going to be protected, he voted 5 on it.

In spite of that, his pace was erratic and eventually I pulled ahead of him, much to his disgust, considering I was just voting what each flash deserved in my opinion. I was the tortoise to his hare.

I got the 10,000 Blams in about 2 years and a half... and I started an Ng account on Clock day '07 (so, i never knew the good blam times)

so it won't take 5 years

and is not that hard as everyone say, of course you get more saves, but blams aren't impossible

Guys, I think you might have missed me as well. I know I wasn't on the list last year, but I do remembering logging my stats (NGLOGS), and I think I broke 20K saves in 2009.

These may not be midnight-to-midnight, but they're close:

1/1/2009: 4843 Blams, 11,887 Protects - total 16,730
1/1/2010: 9163 Blams, 33,920 Protects - total 43,083

Based on these numbers, I had over 22K saves in 2009. Messed up my ratios quite a bit, but it seemed I just couldn't get those blams to save my life.

My save totals should be extremely low on the next update not only because I'm not B/Ping that much anymore, but also because I'm now going for the submissions that aren't so good and going for more blam points. The day that my blams catch up to my saves I'll start voting more on everything, but I doubt that day will happen. :P

Yeah, I just hadn't added people who joined the Protectors list in 2009 to the proceedings. This is hopefully something I will be changing for 2010, so stay tuned in about 12 months time :P

Yeah, I know what you mean - I sometimes think that about the Blammers game, but life is what we make of it.

Getting on the top savers of the year means you had to pretty much go at a pace of around 30 per day the entire year man i know i have it in me to get over 40-50 per day on any given day but sometimes im just to busy to bad there cant be 2 of me to do stuff like this and another me to just live my life normally i would be making this list for sure then.

Maybe if im lucky i can sneak in 10k saves this year ive started off pretty well so far just got to keep it going for the other 360 days of the year and im good to go lol and if i dont miss clock day this year like i did last year it should definitely help me out even more as well.

So anyway now I got the 16th spot and next up is ReconRebel. Another well known user who used to be miles ahead of me once in every single stat except for reviews.

You'll pass me in blams eventually if you plan to go beyond 40k blams. Of course, before that you'll exceed 77,777 B/P but that's quite a way away. Now that you've passed me in saves, it's only a matter of time until more users pass me. I'm already seeing Gagsy, Patcoola, Phantom and byteslinger passing me within the next month or two so that'll take me out of the top 20.

BTW, there was one stat where you already had more than me and that's audio reviews.

No worries, Auz. Right now I'm busy with work and my P/B'ing is a little off. Good for my bills, but not so good for my rankings. But it sure beats a year ago when I had no work and was living off my savings.

Until Bahamut announced his bp retirement last year or so I never expected that I would ever pass him in anything, but now it finally happened. This is probably gonna be the only stat I'll pass him in though, unless of course he becomes inactive for a looooooong time.

You'll pass me in blams eventually if you plan to go beyond 40k blams.

I don't have a retirement number in mind already for Blams to be honest, but getting to 40,000 is going to take me about 6 more years if the portal keeps being like this. I'm guessing I might have already stopped bp'ing by then.

BTW, there was one stat where you already had more than me and that's audio reviews.

Oh yeah right, I forgot about those. You still beat me in total reviews though.

I know Gagsy and Krev are girls, but I wasn't actually sure in your case. So I thought I'd be safe by guessing that you were a he, but I guess I guessed wrong :p
