I'm cutting it a little too close for comfort with my saves, averaging just 2 more than needed for gold. It's still enough though and am satisfied with my 3XG.

You obviously havn't seen the crap that gets submitted to the portal. I have seen lots of stuff submitted to the portal that took no work at all.

Nor can I. But you see, as ramagi said, not everything submitted to the portal contains hard work. And some contains absolutely NO hard work on the part of the submitter... with a 5 meg uncompressed song that took hard work on the part of the musician, who has nothing to do with the submitter and is being used by him.

Can you perhaps see now... how many of us have tens of thousands of blam assists? It wasn't an evil holocaust... it was... a series of mercy killings, you see. O_o

Compared to Dogma's blam points, that IS kinda a low number, relatively speaking.

And anyway, the point is that they don't come very quickly, compared to blams, even for someone with MORE saves than blams. It's not like if you cut back on blams, your saves shoot up... that's only the case if you usually vote 0 or 1 on borderline stuff, even though you'll miss a few points... and then switch to voting 2 or 3 on borderline stuff... that's the only way it would impact your saves.

Even for me, the only person on NG to have enough saves to be EG Colonel on saves alone (hee!), saves don't come easily. It's hard to grind 'em out. As evidenced by the fact that I once had 6000 blams and 6000 saves, but now I have 17500+ saves and 25900+ blams... I'm nearing 10,000 more blams than saves, and that's just depressing. ;_;

Saves are also hard to come by thanks to idiots who gives 0's to good entries for no fucking reason. Often when I see something worth say a 4, and raise it's score to say 0.52 I'll check the author's profile and find it's his/her first flash. Then I'll see something worth a 2 and lower it's score to 3.76, check the author's profile and see he/she has an A+ batting average. Interesting eh? I really hope wade starts deleting accounts for this shit soon, real soon, that's just fucked up.

As of last update I'm getting one more save per day than toocool, so if I can keep that up i'll have more saves than him in under 18 years! hah

Well, I think it's fortunately a RARE event for a movie I think deserves a 4 to have a 0.52 after I vote to save it.... now, do I see a lot of borderline flashes that I think are hilarious or worthy of being on the portal or whatever... that I hit 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 depending on how I feel about it or how I'm feeling at the time.... and notice it's at 1.40? Sure. All the time. Every day, probably.

But oh well. We gotsta keep fighting the good fight, eh?
