Perhaps you know the Four Horsemen by Metallica. We've gotten better and better at recording techniques, my bassist's dad owns a recording studio. The cover is unfinished but what do you guys think of the sound and tone? I did both guitars. No vocals yet.
Comments appreciated xD

Im pretty sure Guns and Roses is a hair metal band
That's actually not half bad, good job! Also... congrats on 3000th post.

Pretty good, but 2 problems. Early Metallica requires a real dirty distortion. Don't be afraid to make the guitars sound rough around the edges.
The other this is the band name. No offense, but it's kinda lame to name your band after another band's song.
.
Impressive cover, sounds very clear and is very well-played.
Not bad, the only comment I have so far (I'm currently listening), is that the guitar at the beginning doing the repeating notes, as well as throughout the song, needs to be a little faster or cleaner on the beats.
I'm not a big Metallica fan, so I don't know the original, but without the vocals it's a pretty good song

Unfortunately, I can't really do that as my tonal range is limited (Shitty equipment) I'm just glad I have a Mesa/Boogie 2x12.
And I agree the name is horrible, but hell. Names are so hard to think up, we're definately doing a temporary thing with this.

You should never trust a bass player's Dad, through my experience their bad news.
Back into the proper topic. Yeah, it sounded great. Add some vocals n' you got yourself a winner (unless your a fully instrumental band).

....Wow.
I just thought of that and it may be a universal truth. Every bass player I know has a sketch dad.

Hehe, he's awesome, gives us a bunch of his shit to use.

We aren't, but I'm a crappy singer and would likely ruin it, until we have a good singer, I'll just leave it alone.
It'd be awesome if someone could record some vocals online for fun.

It's fine unless you make profit out of it.

lol. I used to be a singer but it would seem so tacky to send over a recorded voice n' merge it or what not. Plus I'm English. 0___0
I'm sure your a good singer, anyone can be really. Vocal lesions should help, although I cant rightly say (I've never taken any).

Hehe true. I'm not too bad, i can hit notes, but my actual voice sounds annoying. I always wanted to take vocal lessons but never had the will

Nice common sense, because there's a remote chance that my band would be Metallica, right?
I was referring to the cover, gg.
