Hi Jim, I think I have a good idea, might take up to much space though. Anyways.....

I was thinking today, about popularity, no not how its down, about how people click your profile, maybe we can have a list of names of people that recently clicked your profile?? Like the past 10 maybe, and maybe next to their name it can say how many times they have clicked it. Just an idea.

Now, I know what some of you are going to say out there. Popularity isnt a big thing blah blah blah what does it matter who last clicked your profile blah blah blah. I know it doesnt matter, but I thought it would just be a cool little option.

I think knowing who clicked your profile is a cool idea. Depends on if they are already keeping track of it or not. I dont think they are. Its prolly just IP based.

In case you haven't noticed, Newgrounds is SLOW and BUGGY. Do you think adding free email, and tracking whoever views your profile, just for the hell of it, would make this problem better or worse?

are you sayign newgrounds shouldn't evolve. going by that theory the portal and this bbs wouldn' be here, itd just be pico cat dynamics and your screwy ass.

ng needs to evolve, and if that means little stuff like this or email or big stuff lie teh audio portal, it should do it!

it doesnt run slow if you have a good connection. NG is always pretty normal for me. not exactly speedy, but not slow.

yer but there is a difference between downlaoding a 4 meg movie and a 2kb html file. the servers arn't overloaded that much that the bbs can't load the 15k, although it is that the portal can't load 4 meg

Newgrounds needs to evolve, that;s what makes it great, but EMAIL and USELESS statistics are NOT progress, they're bandwidth drains. Don't you have ENOUGH free emails already? It wouldn't be unique, since there'd be 200,000 people with one, and it would detract from the admin's prestigious @ng emails.

Once again, email isn't a great feature. You already have email, and it wouldn't slow down 2 milliseconds, it would slow down insanely. Do you have the slightest idea about anything related to web hosting? No, you don't. You don't know the resources involved in POP3 or SMTP, and have no room to act like you do.

If you want free email, go to yahoo, if you want flash movies, you can hang around here, just stay out of the way of the people who KNOW what they're talking about.

I agree. That would be a pretty cool option. That way you could sort of interpret who your friends, enemies, and curious onlookers are. Of course, I think you already know who your enemies are.

liljim, I think I have an idea about the problem with common noob questions in the bbs, the "rules" link at the bottom of the screen is'nt in a very good spot, maybe move it up to the top like the stileproject forums.

I post at stileproject regularly and they hardly ever have these types of problems, of course they don't have points and ect. but you would think they still get dumb questions about the "noobie slut" status...

anyways what i'm getting at is I just think the rules need to be moved to a place more visible, or maybe the new grounds member that wants to post in the forums are forced to read the rules before entering the bbs.

I hope you see this, either way I will try and contact you about it.
