You have three barrels.
One is filled with apples.
One is filled with oranges.
One is filled with both oranges and apples.
They are all labeled, apples, oranges, and apples+ oranges, but they are all incorrect. Every label is on the wrong barrel.
You can only check one barrel, to determine what fruit is in each barrel.
ONLY ONE.
Which one do you check?

You check the oranges / apples barrel
If you pull an orange then... > the one labelled oranges / apples is oranges > the one labelled apples is apples / oranges > the one labelled oranges is apples
If you pull an apple then... > the one labelled oranges / apples is apples > the one labelled oranges is apples / oranges > the one labelled apples is oranges

Oh yeah and topic starter, you forgot to mention you can only pull out ONE fruit from ONE barrel.

Grab one out of the one labeled 'both'. Let's say you pulled an apple. You know it can't be both, because you said they were mislabeled, which means that one holds apples. That leaves the one labeled 'oranges' with two choices: the oranges, or both. It can't be the oranges, because they're mislabeled, so it has to be both. That leaves the one labeled apples, with only one choice: oranges.
If you pull and orange, reverse it.

Wow, I check the morning after and nobody got it. You all say to check the one labeled both.
That's wrong.
I'll give you all one more chance to get it.
Also, I didn't say you had to pull a fruit from the barrel you check, by check, I mean open it and look inside it. Anything that will give you an idea of what is in the barrel, basically.
