mushroom... a few things for you:
but now a disclamer: i am NOT pro israeli government and i am NOT anti-palestinian. i think both the jews and the palestinians deserve a homeland, but the way both ethnic groups are going about getting one at the present time is inexusable so they deserve each other.
first of all rachel corrie deserved to get run over by that bulldozer. it was her choice in life to be a martyr, when she lay down in front of that bulldozer she lay down knowing that she might be dying to try and "save" a palestinian home that would have been bulldozed anyway when her bloody carcass was dragged out of the way. if any of my kids chose to do something as fucking stupid as become a martyr for one goddamn home or use their life to make a statement, i would write in their eulogy that they deserved such a humiliated death. even if that person was my only son or daughter, i would say the same thing.
as for american homeless people, yes i agree that the way my country's government mismanages money is the biggest threat to national security. maybe if we used defense money in a SMARTER way we could use less of it.. and smarter spending starts with killing of rumsfeld. never EVER HAVE A CIVILIAN TELLING THE MILITARY WHAT TO DO WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THAT?????!!!?!?!?
then, tax the people more to create a national security net for everyone. yeah yeah republicans shut the FUCK up i dont want to hear you bitching about how you dont want your hard earned money going to pay for healthcare for some bum. yeah well what happened to your love thy neighbor be charitable christian bullshit??? crap i dont practice ANY religion but i am certainly a better fuckin christian than you are if you throw that hypocritical bullshit around. plus what is more of a strain on society, your money going to pay for healthcare and a place to live for some homeless guy so he can then go out and get a civil service job and become a productive person or you using that saved money to buy an suv to pollute the air your kids will have to breathe?
ach. thats enough. i need to rest and let the grilled steak i just ate digest a bit (thats for you veggie.. it was deliciously charcoaly and still mooing in the middle ohhh yeah)

We want to choose to give our money to help people, not have it stolen out of our pockets by the government. I'll decide what to spend what I have earned on rather than some bureacrats in Washington determine what is "best" for me to do.
Yes, I do believe in charity, but not organized robbery as practiced by the government. It is not the goverment's job to "take care of people", especially not by stealing from some to give to others, (while diverting and pocketing some along the way).

Why does the rest of the world hate (or strongly dislike) America and its people??::
Well, kittie_cross, let's see...
America has recently killed thousands of innocent civilians. America has so many crooked politicians we could fill a stadium with them. America is declaring war left and right, maybe fear is present.
Do you see why now?

Republicans want to be able to give their money rather than have it "taken from them?" The problem with that is that people like you would never give anything back. Taxes are not stealing, buddy, you are currently standing on Federal owned property. Tax dollars go towards educating your children, health care, policemen, even to your fanatical wars overseas. So quit bitching and fill out your W2's. Its your civic duty.

It was the hypocracy of the war that got me. I would probably have supported it if they came straight out, admitted that America armed him, admitted fully that the sanctions killed more people than Saddam but said they wanted to put things right. I'd have given my support then and only then.

It was all done kind of for the wrong reasons which most people didn't buy as the "freedom" for Iraq.

You are standing on sacred Native American ground which was stolen by illegal immigrants and then claimed as their own.
A few reasons why the whole world hates America
1953: U.S. overthrows Prime Minister Mossadeq of Iran. U.S. installs Shah as dictator.
1954: U.S. overthrows democratically-elected President Arbenz of Guatemala. 200,000 civilians killed.
1963: U.S. backs assassination of South Vietnamese President Diem.
1963-1975: American military kills 4 million civilians in Southeast Asia.
September 11, 1973: U.S. stages coup in Chile. Democratically elected president Salvador Allende assassinated. Dictator Augusto Pinochet installed. 5,000 Chileans murdered.
1977: U.S. backs military rulers of El Salvador. 70,000 Salvadorans and four American nuns killed.
1980's: U.S. trains Osama bin Laden and fellow terrorists to kill Soviets. CIA gives them $3 billion.
1981: Reagan administration trains and funds "contras". 30,000 Nicaraguans die.
1982: U.S. provides billions in aid to Saddam Hussein for weapons to kill Iranians.
1983: White House secretly gives Iran weapons to help them kill Iraqis.
1989: CIA agent Manuel Noriega (also serving as President of Panama) disobeys orders from Washington. U.S. invades Panama and removes Noriega. 3,000 Panamanian civilian casualties
1990: Iraq invades Kuwait with weapons from U.S.
1991: U.S. enters Iraq. Bush reinstates dictator of Kuwait.
1998: Clinton bombs "weapons factory" in Sudan. Factory turns out to be making aspirin.
1991 to present: American planes bomb Iraq on a weekly basis. U.N. estimates 500,000 Iraqi children die from bombing and sanctions.
2000-01: U.S. gives Taliban-ruled Afghanistan $245 million in "aid".
September 11, 2001: Osama Bin Laden uses his expert CIA training to murder 3,000 people

there are a few, although they are usually neglected and too uninvolved in world affairs to be noticed. sweden, for one, is a socialist country, with free healthcare, yeh you know the works. yeh, sure, they all ride bikes and most of them are butt ugly, but theyre economy has been fairly successful. canada is doing quite well as well. if anyone saw bowling for columbine, mike moore points out when he visits the leaf country that canadians feel safe enough to not worry about locking their doors. we might not like to admit it, but we arent the best country in the world. the mentality and arrogant assumption that we are is probably why we are so disliked around the globe.

oh, side note, punctuate your sentences the reading difficulty kind of detracts from the effectiveness of your argument.

New Zealand, one of the few countries that stood up to America, it's also full of adrenalin junkies.
We British are really pissed of with America at the moment Because of the "Itallian Job" thing.
That was our movie! that was one of the best film in the history of films. It had subtle humor, amazing one liners and the worlds coolest car (mini cooper Mk2) you wankers have fucking ruined it!

I was not talking about the distant past, I was talking about last month. Yes the British have had a violent past, but then again so have most of the 1st world countries.
the point is that America actually armed Saddam and the Taliban and supported them until they turned on the had that fed them.
Besides, I don't think that most of the world actully hates America. They just don't like it very much.
I personally don't mind mind America, just thee people who run it.

First, before 1973 Iraq was not an insane dictatorship and saddam wasnt even in power, and giving him money would be alot less of a crime then giving him weapons. At least with money he can spend it on something good.

Considering the Soviet Union singlehandedly started a war between Egypt and Isreal I would say it was an entirely good reason to combat them in the middle east.

Why do Americans think there's just one reason everybody hates them? Ever pause to think it's everything from their deligtful foreign policy, their aggressive marketing strategies (ie Coke/Pepsi), their tourists being shocked and appalled that other countries aren't the same (need I recant the tale of the American couple in a Burger King in Copenhagen?), the way they account for a large percentage of the world's oil usage, and, worst of all, they produced Backstreet Boys and N'Sync at the exact same time.
There's enough books on the subject, pick at least one of them up, and stop whining about "injustices" that you imagine happen for no reason. Christ, I know why the English aren't exactly popular with the Scots, the Welsh, the French, the Argentinians...
