my HD sprite contest entry
Commander Keen Rocks.
The real commander Keen has a different helmet and shirt colour.. i edited it to make him look more like the bastard slug-killing NAZI he is....
I thought that one really stood out when I was checking out all the entries. it looks extremely photographic! nice job.

you sure?
when i look back at my work earlier this year it makes me wanna plunge my Wacom pen into my eyes and twirl it like crazy...
I might try and draw it again now....see how much iv`e improved over this short time lapse...
that actually might be quite fun.....If i find time between work i`ll do it...
I've been away for quite aloong time now...
too much stuff to do.. goddamnit.
so..bump?
fuck, no comments? or feedback?
come on people!
pleeeeeeeaase??
Where the shitfuck have you been?
Anyways, the hair on that dancer chick is like.. pasted there, it needs to blend in a bit more, if you know what I mean. That's the only flaw I saw, since I only looked for like 10 seconds.
Your fuck rules shit.

lol thnks :D
yes i noticed too... i must admit i had to rush this, but that's no excuse.. and if i look at it now, i kinda realize there are a couple of things that are off...
goddamnit XD
anyway i hope to be back posting soon...it basically all depends on my exams at school... :(
c ya
A soft reflection of her on the stage would give it that little extra effect.

hey man long time no see :P
nice pic here, only thing I would point out is if that light were hitting the dancer from there then we would see more of a shadow on the side we are looking at, you could experiment a bit with that, hope you do.
anyways gj :)
I know you like it when I give you demonstrations on what Im talking about, so this is what I was talking about :P
I duplicated the layer -- set it to multiply -- adjust the opacity -- merge layers -- touch shadows with burn tool -- "replace colour" function to tweak the skin tone -- pen tool to make 1 pixel light reflection blooms along some of the edges of the dancer -- added light blooms to stage lights -- merged all -- "colour balance" setting to give more realistic colour overall
hope it helps

Hey thanks old friend :D
i knew i could count on some good old constructive crit from you. I'll keep those pointers in mind. it's much more realistic. i still have to work on a lot of issues on my art, like lighting anatomy and so on... the problem is finding the time.. anyways thanks again mate.
c u around ;)
anytime :P
I too am finding it hard to sit down and draw, too much time spent doing graphic design -_-

come to think of it, it's been a really long time since you've done some of your magic...
;D
Cool shit man, but I think the +'s throw it off.
I think that the only ones I really liked are the first two sigs and the second drawing...

Honestly I do not know why I still have bad grammer to this day.
lol no problem
well I've been really really messed up this last year or so, and every time I tried cuttting some time out of my schedule for drawing something always managed to come up...
but now i've got my new pc, my new Photoshop cs3 and a quite enough time to waste....and i missed drawing so much
even though i cant seem to produce nothing other than crap, it takes time, practice, blood and sweat to get half as good as you wanna be...so better star now :P
