Schools have been keeping us young people down for too long...
its time to do something about it,let this be the generation that
finally
decided to do something about the terrible public school education
system....let this be the generation where we said"were not going to
take it
anymore!"we are calling on all students of the american public school
system
to walkout of there schools at
to protest the unfairness of the american public schools system...

TO TEACHERS,AND TO REST OF ANY AMERICAN PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
ADMINISTRATION:
we hate being told what to wear(US who wear uniforms)

we hate being "disciplined"through fear,we do not like being intimated
by
youre threats you make to us when you claim we are getting smart with
you.

We hate being punished for speaking our minds,(we do not have an
attitude
problem we simply are expressing our opinioms which is our right as
free
human beings)

we hate you forcing us to learn something we do not wish to learn...we
demand
you let us what subjects we wish to take,or we do not want ot come to
school,then dont let us come at all.

here is a list of demands that we want met before we go back to
school...

1. We want freedom of speech and freedom of expression

in what we say and wear.

2. We want meaningful studies, not textbook lies and

endless busywork. And all homework will be banned!

3. We demand smaller classrooms, decent seating, breaks to

stretch our legs, longer bathroom breaks, and

acceptable comfort levels for heating and cooling.

4. We want teachers who love to help facilitate learning,

not teachers at all, really, but caring mentors who can define

our individual needs, and suggest resources to guide us towards

the paths WE want to take in life.

5. There will be no more report cards, testing, dividing into

separate grades. There will be classes in things we want

and need to learn, for those of us who want or need to learn it.

6. We will have plenty of time for playing, discovering,

and sleeping.

7. If some of us do not wish to be in school, then let us leave.

These are the people who usually take to guns -- if they're

not in school, they won't be needing to find a violent

way out.

8. Let us learn to read when we are ready, not when YOU think

we are supposed to learn to read, whether we learn at

four or fourteen, when we are ready, we will learn very

quickly. And don't make us feel dumb if we learn to read

at a later age than you did.

9. To our parents: stop expecting us to be what YOU want

us to be --- we have dreams of our own.

10. To the politicians: stop using our education, or lack of it,

to further your goals of ambition and power. Schools don't

need more money, as you say EVERY election year,

they need less administrators, less paperwork,

and a hell of a lot more freedom!!

We call on all students of america to walkout of school to protest the unfairness of schools,we have been bullshitted by the
school administrations for too long. on May 28, 2003 at 200 in the eastern time zone 100 in the central time zone 1200 in the moutain time zone 1100 in the pafic time zone. at that time in your respective time zone all of the people in your school who want to participte get up and all walk out then join at a desegnated spot and protest try and be original but if you can't think of anything make up posters banners with the main ideas of the letter on them KEEP IT NON VILOENT OR PEOPLE WILL BE TURNED OFF OF OUR IDEAS!!! thanks for reading

and another thing. public schools are just that, PUBLIC. if you want to educate yourself, than feel fucking free to do so. its your parents' tax money that is paying to keep the public school system running, and if you have a problem with it, then blame your parents. public schools are there to educated the masses, not provide individual attention for your every fucking need. yes, teachers should teach students rather than just give them assignments, but that workload is to increase your work ethic and provide a sense of accomplishment. god damnit, some people are just stupid.

Every school here in Vancouver did a walk-out last winter to show our disapproval of job action (job action being when teachers dont do any after school activities or field trips, got my play cancelled). But only about 50 people actually protested, for the rest, it was an excuse to skip. I just went snowboarding. My schools thinking of doing a wlak-out to protest the no hat rule which our new Nazi principal put into place. What's the point of confiscating hats to prevent gangs, when you live in a Canadian suburb!? The closest thing to a gang we have is some grade 9's who skate after school. Besides inconveniencing students and faculty, it's totally arbitrary.

walking out for the admins taking away hats? thats pretty lame if you asked me. my school has had a no hat rule for as long as i can remember, so no one really cares anyway. i also live in small town North Dakota, and there is not a gang within at least 100 miles of my home. the only reason i can figure we arent allowed to wear hats, is because it is rude and disrespectful to the teachers. personally, i wouldnt matter if kids wore hats in my class, but im not gonna argue with their reasoning. there are better things to hold a walk-out for dude.
