geez when was the last time i posted on here? anyway, serious subjet ay
Okay, During my secondary school years i was bullied, alot, but i think what got to me most was the fact that one of these bullies, was in a year below me (hold the laughs)! I guess the only reason he had the power over me was his little gang that had guys my age in as well, but still, this guy was a nasty piece of work.
In year 10, i lost my closest friend, he was well known in the school because he was short due to his illness. When we were told the news, a lot of us were upset, as u'd think, especially me. yea i was cryin and stuff but who wouldnt? anyway, this kid, decides to start with me, saying shit like "do you want ure mummy?" etc etc, I hated him...
2 weeks ago, there was a serious accident out side my old school, a teenager had died after being crushed by a lorry, turns out, it was him.
Now see, i've always been a considerate kinda person, but u know what? when i heard the news i just said "good, the world is better off without him", suddenly my gf and her parents are looking at me really disgusted. Was i wrong to say that, and to think it? after what he did?

Some people handle death differently than others. It's a tricky subject; even if he was a total douchebag to you and others, if you show to them that you hold death that lightly, they might see you as being terribly insensitive. I get where you are coming from though, just be careful about saying things like that concerning death.
I mean, even if the kid was a total dick, his parents could be going through hell right now, and maybe he's got other family members or people close to him who are having a tough time, much like you did when your friend died.
I'm not trying to defend him or anything like that, just trying to shed light on why they may have reacted the way they did.

Hmm, i see ure point, i know how difficult it was for me, but theres that part of me that still says "he mocked u about death, it poetic justice" which is nasty, its like a cruel twist of fate...

yes and no, yes in the fact that mocking the dead is never a good thing, and no, because the bastard deserved what he got. he was probably doing something stupid when he got hit. I remember in high school this one guy, a football player, kept harrassing the women, and bullied around guys and tried to split up relationships, etc.
well he got into the business of selling drugs and wound up getting gunned down by a rival gang. so yeah, Karma's a bitch and most people eventually do get what they deserve, as heartless as it sounds.
I'm not crazy, everyone else is.

Its hard to say fire-storm because I know what it was like to be bullied by a kid that was 5 days younger than me. Yet, being short as I always have been and him being well built he made my life hell all the way to my 9th grade year.
As a student who is now a teacher I say let it go. If you let his life irk you, he wins. You are stronger than you think you are. Bullies suck believe me they do but later in life I learned how neglected this bully was by his own parents. It even made me hurt inside. I will say I have learned to forgive him and fight bullying in my school.

Right or wrong?
I don't understand how it has to be right or wrong.
Do you mean you were wrong for saying how you really felt?
Or did you mean that it was wrong because it upset those who heard you?
You know what it doesn't even matter. You didn't kill the guy.
He got killed in an accident.
Not your fault, if it makes you feel better knowing the asshole that made your life a hell for a while is dead.
Good enough, but c'mon your hatred for the asshole didn't kill him.
So be happy.
I would be.

you were right to feel the way you did. But you shouldnt say something like that. As someone else stated, people that knew him (family , friends etc. ) are probably going through hell.
My advice to you is try to forgive him for what he did.

you don't exactly have to forgie what he did, because the way he treated you I probably would've beat his ass to a pulp, but yeah you probably scared everyone around you because they thought it was insensitive. People all react differently to death, I know of people who laughed when they heard someone close to them had died, not because it was funny, but because it was just the way they reacted. At any rate, you yourself haven't done anything moderately wrong, just be careful about what you say or you'll make yourself seem insensitive which will scare the people around you and make them avoid you, so it's best to keep stuff like that to yourself. I rememer when I was at a funeral, everyone was crying all around me, except for me, I was quitely sitting there and thinking, it's just my way of reacting, they asked me how I could just sit there, I replied "tears never fixed anything." and of course now everyone thinks I'm a cold, heartless person, blah blah blah, except the people that actually know me. It doesn't bother me, but it may bother you, just tellin you what to expect if you do stuff like that.

I can see how you might have a deep hatred for this snot nosed punk, because he made your life a living hell, but everyone has a right to life, and let's face it, he's not doing anything to you any more, now is he? I don't think that what you said is "wrong" per se, but you should move on and try to forget. Sadly the expression "live and let live" doesn't apply here.

Thanks for all ure comments, i guess in the end i dont know what he was like after school, he may have been worse, i figure he cant hurt anyone anymore, and when it comes down to it, if ure s spiritulistic person, which im not, but if u are, his purpose in life may have been to be like he was, because it affects other people.
You can say someone has affected in a positive way, even if they were evil, because bullies make you stronger in life. I could feel comfertable knowing he did what he was made to do, regardless of the negativity.
And now, its over,
But as someone who belives in Karma, let this be a warning to bullies and people who make others feel horrible, it all comes back round in the end...

Such is life man. Maybe you were a little callous, but like the karma example you have provided, every good has a bad and every bad has a good. Even though he tormented you, think about the influence he was, making you strong....

If you feel glad about his death right now I'll honestly tell you it's ok. This if your way of letting your aggression out on him. That being said, you shouldn't still feel good about it later on. Use this as a time to get over what he did.
Another thing to understand is this kid wasn't really a bad guy. No bullies are truly bad. They generally come from broken homes and their bullying could be remiedied by fixing the family. His death and the loss to his family is truly tragic, even if he was a bully.

Different people view the value of human life differently. Some people view it way too valuable; I respect these people but I don't agree with them. That kid sounded like a horrible jerk. I think that you would handle it better if you simply kept to yourself. Subconciously you might as well laugh at his corpse. I don't think you should have told people how you felt, though. Like I said, different people have different values for everything.

I'm not so sure about thinking he was made to be a jerk, make your life hell so you'd be stronger, and then just die. That almost seems like he's more of a pawn, and I'm not sure if he deserves that.
This guy sounds like a total jerk, and it's understandable that you'd be desensitised to his untimely death. The fact is that none of else knew this person as well as you, so it all depends. There might have been something horrible going on in his life and he really wasn't alway bad, but that theory's a cliché.
We all say the wrong things at times. If you get a good chance, I'd try talking to your gf about it. I don't know how easy that will be, but it's worth a try. The fact that you're even asking on a forum shows that you're really a sensitive guy.
But as someone who belives in Karma, let this be a warning to bullies and people who make others feel horrible, it all comes back round in the end...
I'd say I qualify as a good person who tries to do the right thing, but I'm still not sold on karma. I've been through a lot of shit with bullies and I feel that a lot of them still get by easy. At the same time, there's a guy at my school who's been picked on pretty much all of his life, and he's still going through this shit. His mom even died, and I really doubt he deserved that. The thing is that I see lots of bad things happen to people who I think are good. I want karma to exist, but sometimes I'm just not sure.

You're just able to handle death better than them. Besides, after torment from a person, you're not really gonna give a fuck if they die.

I understand how you feel in these things.
But no matter the person, everyone has something thats good about them.
But thats beside the point, what your bird and your parents said is maybe thier way with death.

No, he did not go through that sort of paranoia. As I said, he died peacefully. This disproves karma exists or at least it exists on earth.

The karma debate could go on forever. I'm not familiar with the origins of karma, but I thought it originated from Hinduism and it specificly applied to how one's life would be next time around.
I try to do the right thing, and I'll still hold out for karma, but I can understand if someones skeptical. Plenty of innocent people suffer and die, and I doubt they deserve it.
It's a tricky subject.
Another point I've thought of is that there are worse things to do than be a bully. When you think about it, death really is paying the ultimate price and you can really compare bullying to murder. Trust me, there are some bullies who I absolutely hate, and I imaging that you have a good reason to not feel remorseful for this guy. It's a personal matter, and your entitled to your emotions.
