Parents snooping on you!?

Yeah this kinda sucks. Parents I learned give no children privacy. Sometimes its a good thing, but sometimes it comes to a point of what the hell are you doing!?

My friend got busted today. I was at his house when this happened. While he was at school his mom decided to snoop around in his room and see if hes doing anything he shouldn't.

Apperently he "looked" at one of his porn magazines and after he was done he hid it, he had a good place, but didnt hide it well so it stuck out.

Anyways. His mom comes bursting out and asked "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?". It was his Playboy magazine. His face went red quick. I tried to help him. He said it wasn't his it was Nicks. (His mom dosnt liek him anyways.) So We were stupid and pinned the blame on him. But His mom went "I'm not buying cause I found alot more then one."

At that time i was leaving.

Dosn't that suck though. His mom was snooping around in his room. My parents do that to an extent. But still its our privacy...what do you think about this.

Yea i hated it when my parents snooped on me... but when i asked for some privacy it all stopped all i did was sit down and talk to them and everything was okay then...

yeah in high school, my parents snooped around, funny thing is that if my dad found somethin it was fine if my mom found something all hell broke loose heh, ah well out of the house in college so it is all good :)

Whatever. You live in your parent's house, you eat food that they buy for you, and many, many other things. You may not like it, and I don't think it's entirely honest of a parent to do, but they have that right.

Until you're completely self-sufficient, they have a right to do whatever.

Unfortunately, my dad is computer literate. So he snoops about, not my room, but the computer. I get in trouble for clicking on those NG ads. Not on purpose, mind you. You know when the pictures aren't there when the web page is loading? Well I click on the screen so I can use my mouse scroller, most of the time clicking on those ads.

I dont think parents should care about porn. I would search my kids rooms tho. Mainly just looking for drugs or something like that. Unfortunatly my kid would prolly be too smart to leave something like that in his/her room.

At a certain age - parents must let go but other times its good that they do cause if you are bold to have certain things you can discuss it with them......

My parents stopped caring about me when I turned 12. If they caught me with a porn magazine (which the wouldn't get by snooping in my room, they don't go in there) they'd tell me to hide it better. Oh and I lways remember the one piece of advice to use in life they gave me "If you're gonna do drugs somke them, don't inject yourself" God I have such brilliant parents don't I?

My parents are ignorant to the seedy underbelly of my home. As for my "stuff, I keep them in steel lock box I made. There are only 2 keys, 1 is on me at all times, and the other one is well hidden. My mom is always in and out of my room cleaning, and she found my sling shot once. I've learned from that.

I'd like to think that parents snoop because they care, but obviously thats not always the case. I never had to ask my parents to stay out of my room, because they just never went in there.

well, i really think he deserved it, i mean, im not gay or anything, but i really dont support porn and that stuff, but yes, parents should give their kids some privacy, i mean, my mom just recently installed a filtering program, it checked pages u have been into and closes the window u r using even if it detects something that says hot sexy or something, she didnt fin anything anyways, and i could uninstall it, she had the trial version that didnt have a password, hehe, but still, i got really mad with her, we should get our privacy, it was my comp, she shouldnt be installing stuff in it.

In my opinion, i hate the way parents treat kids. I do most of my stuff on my computer, so since i know a hell of a lot more about comps than her, i beat the system with my own spy prog. If i ever catch her spying on my shit i will pretend like she changed some setting and fucked my comp over. i would love to see her explain that one!

also i want to know what the fuck is wrong with porn. i mean seriously, parents only check for it for one of 2 reasons:

1. Other people say its bad, so it has to be.

2. To make a child's life a living hell when they are young will make them better people in the future.

yes, but as parents they should be able to know if your looking at high times or child porn.

if i was a parent i wouldnt want my kid plotting to kill everyone at school. frankly thats about it. i dont give a shit about naked people, it's not going to hurt anyone. i seriously dont give a shit. maybe child porn is a little sick, unless the child wanted to be a porn star, then i dont give a shit. i dont give a shit about anything that doesnt hurt anyone. if a kid is put naked in front of a camera who doesnt want to be, its wrong. oh well. kids need privacy.
