My dad just lets me have my gun, the reason why my gun was taken is because it's going to the PAWN shop according to dad. Normally I let him. I don't care a whole lot for my gun but my knives are mine. Extra sharp and clean.

Eh, this thread is filled with liars. But12 gauges are more commonplace than you think. Don't let the movies fool you, a 12 gauge isn't as devastatingly powerful as they lead you to believe. A 12 gauge is a very practical gun for a wide variety of uses and is more easy to attain than a tiny .22 pistol.

My inherited my first 12 gauge from my dad when I was 12 years old. His Winchester Model 1400 MK II.

12 guage is powerful as hell if you put 000 buckshot in it. and if you feel like disagreeing, you may stand in front of a 000 shell as it detonates.

Eventully I get my gun back...

i bought a ka-bar, can't remember what knife but it just didn't feel right.. similar to what you have but smaller. took it back and got a becker bk-7, fine piece of workmanship, great camping knife. the ka-bars are still good tho

Just looked in our gun safe, sure enough, we have a remington 11-87.

Dude, a 12 gauge magnum, I was talking about one single gun.

Don't even attempt to question my knowledge. Magnum simply means "bigger". A magnum is a very bland term for any cartridge or shell that is relatively bigger, and sometimes they coin the term "magnum" for ammunition just for a marketing ploy.

A 2.75 (2 3/4) inch 12 gauge shell is standard. A 3 inch or 3.5 inch 12 gauge shell is considered a magnum.

I had a Remington 11-85 which was chambered for magnum 3.5 inch shells (and can shoot any shell any 12 gauge shell that is smaller), and the shotgun had a thumbhole grip-stock.
